Are people freezing users on GTA Online?

I've heard of people doing it with the tow truck in the past..I was killing this one guy who was a obvious glitcher over and over again, he went into Passive Mode and his buddy kept following me around in the Rat Loader. Within 30 seconds, my Xbox was frozen.

 

Maybe it was just the Xbox and it's freezing issues, but has anyone else noticed this? I know that modders somehow freeze users when they vote to kick (Im not sure if it's just modders or a glitch because I voted to kick someone who wasn't a modder last night and got frozen), but maybe it's a new glitch?

 

The guy was running around killing people with ease as if he was using auto-aim in all honesty. He mowed down a whole crew, I aimed at him and while he was shooting he just casually turned towards me while I was behind cover and shot me.

When he contacted me with "BRB" after I froze, I accused him of freezing a few of the users so he went off the deep end in a voice message..I mean, I've been accused of glitching ,I just laugh it off. HsK QuIcKNDirty

I'm tired of these frame rate issues. It was way before the recent patch.

 

 

Also, is it just me or does it seem the folks on here seem more sane and less annoying than the people I run into randomly on this game?

I did this a few times around the Army base, it lagged a lot and then got a phone call back saying it can't be delivered.

 

Joining a session lags sometimes too because of having to wait for the city to load it's texture, causes lag especially when you are driving.

I've had issues too where i would "Time Out" or lost connection all together and send me back to story mode or i would be in a mission lobby and all the sudden everybody would leave but in reality I'm the one who left and earlier today my friend and i were going after a guy who tried to do a drive by and i ran my car into a wall and all the sudden my system froze but hers didn't.

Yeah but it seems rather odd that the game freezes when you're in an intense battle. I never have the game freeze up when I'm just going about. Sometimes the damn thing will lock up if I'm in a car and someone's driving, but that's about it.

 

Again, this has happened long before. I do remember someone on a server taking out a tow truck a few weeks ago and if he drove it past people it froze them. The guy was trying to role play with friends and I happened to be in the party when I heard him say it. I just think it's rather odd, but they really need to fix this. Freezing issues were annoying on BF3 Metro and the main reason I refuse to get BF4 because of the freezing issues.

This is probably the most game-breaking bug so far, to be honest. Glitchers and hackers are a pain in the ass, but at least you can usually just play around them. You can't play around a frozen console.

I have been having the same problem. my Xbox locks up, leaving me with the one light. Have to har reset. I thought it was my system. Too repetitive to enjoy the game.

Rat Loader added back into the game, Freezing starts! Time to get rid of the Rat loader again!

Yeah I switched over to Dark Souls because GTA Online keeps freezing its brutal; my console isn't prone to freezing either..I know how to clear cache's and stuff but no work around should be necessary, and it can't be coincidental if mass freezing is happening on a documented scale since 1.11.

 

At first after 1.11 the majourity of freezes were only momentary..but now it's actually a thing and gta online is a brick.; before the patch it never happened..it was like a purple chicken.. I'd be shocked if it happened once a week if at all.

For me, it only happens during the night hours (9pm...). I'm good when i'm playing during the day, it's at night when it starts freezing. It's a complete console freeze too.

Hard to say OP, I've noticed it more post patch related, but anything's possible.

 

@mrLEATHERFAE79 yea the TV is shot, you get stuck in the black loading screen, I've noticed that from day 1 of the business update.
