Apperently You Can't Steal Tanks Anymore...

So i was driving down Vinewood Blvd and i found a tank sitting there and so i decided i was going to take it before the owner could get to it well soon as i got in it, it kicked me right back out every single time.

 

Is this just some kind of glitch or did they fix it so you can't steal tanks now either?

it had an AI bot in it. killed the bot.

took the jet.

I believe that's because the owner left the game. I stole some guys tanks and he left the game and it kicked me out of it, but I haven't been kicked out when I continued to use the guys tank against him.

Yep that's what happend to the OP. Its done so you don't call a tank give to a friend. Leave game, rejoin game give another friend a tank.

Ive stolen two tanks from people that called them in to use againts me, thankfully I was in a chopper and beat them to it. They cant call another one in, so they left and it kicked me out.

Yep that's what happend to the OP. Its done so you don't call a tank give to a friend. Leave game, rejoin game give another friend a tank.

So if i steal somebody tank they can go into the PS and come back into the game session he can then get back in his tank after it's kicked me out.

 

 

 

If you were to steal my tank before I got to it, and I left the lobby it would kick you out. If I joined back into the same lobby I would most likely get the message that they have put my tank back into storage for me and I should be able to call in another one. My previous tank would either despawn if left alone in an area or would just sit there with no one being able to get into it.

A friend loaned a tank out to me, but when he left the session, I received a message that Pegasus was repossessing the tank and I was kicked out.

It is no where near as cool as watching a player log and their av becoming an NPC- as if they just faded back into the Matrix.

Get in Tank, drive to friend. Get out. Friend gets in. Go to LS Customs. You disowned your original tank,, but they can still drive it. Call another one
