Error when editing profile

I know there has been a topic about this, but it has now been locked ("Can't edit my profile").

I'm trying to edit my profile, but whenever I click Finish and Save or whatever, I get this error:

OOPS! Something went wrong!

[#10218]

One of the fields you filled in requires values in a

specific format, but the value you supplied did

not meet this format ('Website URL').

Now in the locked topic it has been suggested to delete the http:// part of the url I'm trying to post (or something like that), but that doesn't seem to work for me. I still get the error message no matter what and I have tried this on 4 different browsers on my phone as well as my pc, all with the same result.

Also worth mentioning that I'm trying to delete the (umm...... awesome?) picture that's currently in my profile, but I get the exact same error after deleting everything and clicking Finish and Save in the "Edit the About Me Page" section, which basically means that I can't delete the photo at all at this stage. :/

I have edited my profile quite a few times over the last few months without any problems, so this error is definitely something new.

Help?

Click on the "Change" button on your avatar and then click on "Remove Photo"

No I'm not talking about my avatar. I meant the picture in the "About Me" section in my profile. Can't get rid of it. I clear/delete everything in the About Me section but after clicking Finish & Save I get that error...

I can't really make any suggestions, because I've never come across this error. For now I've removed everything from your 'about me' section for you, so try clearing your cache and doing a hard refresh and see if you can edit now. If not, perhaps this is something an admin needs to look into.

I had the same error message and it was indeed the http part, I removed it and it worked. I can't see why it won't for you though, odd.

Oh thanks Kirsty.

But I just realized that I completely misunderstood GTAKid's answer in the other locked topic. I just deleted the http bit in the Website URL field under contact methods, and now everything works fine. I can edit my profile again.

Silly me!!!
