Should we get a "gun safe" in our apartments?

I don't know about you guys, but I hate having to carry 5 different pistols. Sometimes I want a silenced combat pistol, but other times I may want the AP Pistol (for in-car defense). But having all of them on me at the same time makes selecting the one I want a hassle, especially in the middle of a shootout.

 

Wouldn't it be cool if you could just "drop" your gun into your gun safe, and then when you wanted a specific gun again, you just go back to your safe and equip it? I hate how dropping a gun just forces you to buy it again.

Then again I'm not 19 and don't spend 17 hours a day on the forum reading threads so I may have missed one.

Please God yes, I get so sick of having to cycle through all the weapons I don't use.

 

Either this, or let us set defaults for each slot on the weapon wheel and a default weapon while in vehicles.

Defaults would work too. There's no reason I should have to fumble around with the freaking sawed-off shotgun and scroll to get to combat shotgun.

I remember Saints Row had a Gun Cache in your safehouses whenever you would first buy one. Every weapon that you unlocked would go straight to the Cache for storage and would always stay there. I think that idea is better than what the game has now, but even then it's not really all that bad except for when you're in a heated gun fight,

If you carry five weapons at once then you are a very irresponsible twit and should have your guns confiscated. Period.

I would love to call say Gerald and have him drop by in his Van in a remote part of street. There I arrive and he opens up the back from which I can buy all the weapons from Ammunation for flat 50%. We had this in GTA 4. Wish they could have kept it in this version. About the Armoury. Wish we could customise each weapons inside the armoury.

 

Get rid of the heist room and make it an armoury room.

You realize you can just hit triangle or Y to drop the weapon while hovering over it? That's what I do.

Only problem is the damn default pistol that keeps coming back. Sell Baller, drop pistol.

Yeah I realize you can drop weapons, I posted that in the OP, but there are certain guns I want to use for certain things. For instance, I like having a silenced Advanced SMG for death match, it is my bread and butter. But for missions, I like having my tricked out carbine.

Dropping a gun now just forces you to rebuy the damn things later.

Brilliant idea, OP. I get really annoyed cycling through my weapons... get rid of the uzi, tear gas, AK-47 and most pistols except Combat and AP.

I would like that feature, too.

 

I don't want to drop all the weapons I don't need at the moment... For example when you're short on money, the SMG can come in handy when you're out of MG/Combat MG ammo.

 

or when you're out of AP pistol ammo, you can use the micro SMG instead until you have enough money for the real deal again.

 

However, it's just a small detail... I mean it's not that hard to get money for these ammos, but those were the moments I regretted dropping some of the weapons I don't usually use. It would have been nice to have them in my appartment because driving without ammo is bullsh*t, you're easy prey for other players.

I noticed that when you accidentally drop a weapon and pick it up again, you will lose it after the session, which is retarded.

I mean why would you lose a weapon you dropped IN FRONT OF YOU 5 seconds ago? wtf?

That already happened to the heavy sniper, advanced rifle, AP pistol and Combat MG, which cost total over 50k I think.

You can actually remove or drop weapons that you don't want anymore. Pull up the weapon wheel, select the weapon that you want to drop, and press triangle/Y. I drop weapons for my friends all the time. Friends can use them until they finish their session. And they'll never show up in your inventory again.

Nope. I can drop pistol> start new session and it will immediately be back.

this is agreat idea, even know having multiple guns came handy the other day when my special carbine disappear from my inventory after i was killed in a mission.

 

there seem to be some bug because just this week i had to re purchase my special carbine 3 times, my ap 2 times. also the ak vanished from my inventory.
