It's easier to blame modders or hackers or glitchers. Than it is to think this sh*t has only started happening to me since patch 1.11 why not delete the patch and redownload it no harm in doing that and see if that fixes the problem.

Since 1.11 it freezes and times out a lot. I can't join consecutive missions without timing out.

I have a PS3 with BluRay and it works just fine. Maybe because my room has such a temperature that it cannot freeze.

It freezed twice yesterday. Once while driving... music still played though! Waited for 2 minutes, nothing. And once i've been in the garage, wanted to take a piss before getting out there, came back to the PS3 & guess what? Freezed!

Fairly sure most freezes are hackers.

 

I froze up about 4 times last night, all in public lobbies, within 5 minutes of playing.

 

Went invite only and was playing the rest of the night, no freeze, no stutter, nothing.

 

Some details, Original Fat Arcade Xbox, the 20GB HDD failed some years ago, replaced with 120GB HDD.

 

Install disc on HDD, I play from Disc 2 (or 1? whichever way round).

 

My laser is what I usually go to when games that run off disc freeze, but I have been running it like that since Oct and only had 1 unfixable freeze around Dec, totally to do with my laser, had to turn up the power on it.

 

The age of the hardware is questionable, over it's lifespan I have chopped and changed this xbox a number of times, so who knows what is original and what is new(ish).

edit: i've deleted the cache n installed the update agan and it still froze so i'll just wait for the next patch

It has something to do with patch 1.11. I have been freezing frequently since the patch and my beach bum and capture mode dlc keeps uninstalling. Im just gonna play Titanfall on my X1 till it is fixed.

3) people have 8 year old systems... and they run like 8 year old systems.... If I bench the original HD that came with the Fat... how do you think it stacks up to a low end 5400 drive made recently; let alone something built more for performance.

 

Oddly enough, my 8 year old system has never once frozen on GTA5 or GTAO, yet.
