Presumably, Rockstar are aware of the jetpack's immense popularity, they could easily appease the fans by including it in a future patch. People will eventually stop looking for it. Alongside an Egg (Which was found in the files) and a UFO which is visible at 100%, it's not ridiculous to think that it exists somewhere in the game. Not many people care about the actual jetpack. It would be the same if it would be a knife that we had to find. Once we get it, we will play with it for a bit, and then we would just let it gain dust in a corner. The good thing is the hunt, not the prize. There's nothing that better suits a game with a huge map and lots of skyscrapers than something to actually be able to get around it all without dangerous stunts (like jumping out of helicopters) or any slower method. There, a perfect reason. Now change your post. Even if it's in game or will be added, what's so special about it? Jetpack in SA was only good because we could get it by a cheatcode anywhere on map, other than that I never use it. Well there's hints that originally, the jetpack in SA was something you could actually carry around as an inventory item. And I think the logic comparing the implementation of a jetpack in a game released in 2004 to a game which has massively improved implementations of everything is very... "don't say stupid, don't say stupid, don't say stupid"... illogical. Sorry, there's just way too much negativity towards good things happening when it comes to this game, but very little logic behind it. I've been playing the game for 400 hours+ both in SP and online as you can see on my social club account http://socialclub.rockstargames.com/member/gunslinger_gk And i swear, there's no jetpack at all.
