Heists - What to expect?

I've pretty much given up on heists but there seems to be some chatter lately about them coming soon, but I have a bad feeling that when they do come if they're not ampted up to 11 then most people won't care.

 

What I really want is to play Four Leaf Clover with other people. I want to be pinned down by dozens of cops without the ability of calling in a buzzard/tank, or even using a modded person vehicle (at least not until the very end). It should be a multi-stage mission where you can't wander around, you HAVE to certain checkpoints and survive while being swarmed by cops.

 

Also on easy/normal if you die the money you carried is lost and the surviving players have to split their cash with you. And on hard if you die you get NO MONEY at all (but still RP), but survivors get to keep only what they carry so everyone would get different amounts. Also you have the option of picking up a dead crew member's bag of cash, but it makes you move slower, so if you survive you get your friend's cash all to yourself plus what you already had.

 

This is the only way I can see the heists being worth the wait and hype. If it's just another ordinary contact mission except in a bank that will be a shame.

The more I think about it, the more I see heists as just your average existing mission, only it will take place inside a bank / building.

 

There was a vid about the heist from the trailer and I am getting the feeling all of them will be just as flat as that one. I do hope Rockstar will impress me, but I am not holding my breath.

I expect nothing at all. Especially nothing of what you expect.

Heists will most likely be like any other missions. Go there, do that, steal this, and bring it back to Lester's whatever warehouse.
Maybe a little more complicated, a little more difficult, and will pay a little more than other missions.
That's all.

If this is better and that I'm wrong, then good for us. If I'm right, I won't be disappointed and crying about it.

I have a horrible feeling they'll just be lengthy missions, but to be fair if they were then surely it wouldn't take Rockstar this long to make them.

Exactly. You would think they would be much more intricate/difficult than the missions we have and with a higher payout/RP. There are many of us who have been playing since launch and have amassed a small fortune over the past few months so for me it's not so much about the money but the gameplay and potential RP for my secondary character.

 

Like I said, if it's similar to Four Leaf Clover I think most people would be happy. Hell, if its an exact ripoff of Four Leaf Clover I think most of us would still be happy.

For the heist to be more than just a longer mission it has to include multiple ways of acheiving the reward.

Imagine just getting these facts:

The bank at this spot will be holding lots of money during this time frame.

Then its up to you to explore ways to get in and prepare yourself and your team.

The gameplay should be without checkpoints or waypoints, just like in freeroam, but the police should be way more aggressive and pursuit you and the team hard. Once all lost the cops the heist will be considered a sucess and you get to shrae the money.

All i want from hesist is to get atleast 25k each player per heist . anything less than that and i am not sure its worth it

A nice heist would stealing a couple of cars.And either getting them in trailer truck, or a titan(finally operational doors) or via freeway.From one side to the other side of the map with all kinds of road/air blocks.

If the heists are a dozens more los santos connections, I am fine with that, just give us multiple choice ;)

it's better be at least 50k

 

lets see how much did we stole from the banks in SP? And how much do things cost in SP?

 

lets see the biggest heist 30M in SP should be at least 3M in online. just sayin

Plus 3 that go in that car

 

that's 4.

 

even if it was 1M would still get a f*ckin awesome paycheck to the 4.

 

 

But i don't see that happen. Unless they release heists just purchasable by cash cards or wtv

I don't set my hopes to high. A lot of people Praised "Duke Nukem Forever" but got their hopes set so high they bombed the hell out of it. (PS: I like that game BTW)

But you can't help but be a little concerned about it seeing how it's been unavailable since October.

 

But if you look at the Evidence that has been found, you might get a clear theory as to what to expect.

 

1) The 10-Car Garage Apartments have Planning Rooms. If Heist is going to be as simple as a Contact Mission, then what is that room needed?

 

2) Since around November, it's been claimed the Bank near the Theater was never opened.

 

3) Sometime also in November someone ripped Audio Files from the Beach Bum DLC and there happened to be New Audio files for Lester, Martin and a few others (At least one not identified) Those files talked about a lot of new features, Casino, Realestate, Pinkslips, but Lester had audio regarding Heist, the same sort of things he said while planning a Single Player Heist.

 

4) Recently (Probably 1.08 Patch) the E-Mail option was added to our Phone's. Not much to go on but could be for something regarding Heist.

 

5) Recently people have been seeing a NPC at the computer near the map inside the Planning Room.

 

Now some of you may have seen that Video depicting a DNS Hack to alow you to play Heist. I don't trust those kind of videos but one video, the author said it could be a additional Contact Mission. Which means we might not also make our owh Heist but do Heist for other Contacts.

 

It's called Heist "DLC" so there could be more to it.

Lester would want his 40% cut of the action too. So that will knock the total down a bit.

They told us that GTA:O will be revolutionary. It turned out to be a buggy piece of sh*t software with nothing revolutionary in it. I reserve judgement for the utility of the heist room, or if it will more than "assign Player to position".

I have a feeling with each free dlc they are slowly bringing in the hiests almost as if they are piecing them together
