Stealth has so much potential

I think the stealth system in GTA Online is really neglected.

 

I would first change the stealth system that we have currently.

• Silencers wouldn't get cop attention
• Stealth mode removes your blip on radar

Then I would add in other stealth options.

• Add in a "Contract" option when you call lester. It would be basically a bounty, but the person who the contract was set on cannot see it.
• If you get 50 stealth kills, your blip would become 50% transparent on the minimap by default. But regular kills (npc's or players) would bring you back to opaque.

And finally, more dlc's.

• Ability to duel wield weapons like in SA
• Gloves
• Ski Mask
• Bar code tattoo
• Stealth Helicopter where it is virtually soundless

I think a Stealth/Assassin system would bring a fresh feel to GTA Online.

What's so bad about it? It's not like you could run around without your blip. You would be practically walking.

Everything is wrong with it. From snipers becoming the most over powered enemy known to gaming, to kids constantly hiding, to irritating people coming up behind you none stop. There wouldn't even be a face to face battle, just cheap shots from behind. Can see it now, kids in this over powered stealth mode, standing on top of LS customs with their mighty auto aim.

I agree. The stealth system in this game is like trying to sneak in the Lego factory but all the containers fell down and you have 30 seconds to make it to the exit. It's crap. If I'm sneaking, that means my goddamn boots aren't making any noise and if I put a silencer on my weapon and go kill a mouse in the mountains that even a damn bat can't hear me, I probably shouldn't get any cops because it's f*ckING SILENCED.

I don't even know why I bother raising my stealth and apparently my stat says I'm a ninja. f*cking Kung-Fu Panda over here.

Anyone remembers a game called Red Dead Redemption, made by R*? Yeah, one update brought the ability to crouch and your blip would be removed off the map. You could use a weapon and hover over until you could see their name in white but apart from that they were ghosts in the hill. Easy ambush but you could get away. People bitching about camping needs to chill. Go in a deathmatch and players keep phoning Lester to reveal position anyway.

You think R* will take the time to fix the stealth system?!? LMFAO...

 

The stealth system has ZERO to do with in-game money, therefore has ZERO to do with Cash Cards. That alone is enough for R* to ignore it.

 

The only other stuff that gets R*'s attention are game breaking glitches.... and the current stealth system is not game breaking.

i wish the stealth stat did SOMETHING useful, seriously right now all it does is let you move fast while in "stealth mode"

 

in deathmatches it hides your blip if you have a silencer, but its still utterly pointless unless the opposition is stupid blind

 

 

 

i wish it made wanted levels drop faster, and gave silencers more use in free roam

I have sat on the roof of my apt. near the downtown lsc and killed dozens of people per session and they knew exactly where I was. If I was invisible and had the ability to change rooftops unnoticed I would simply be a nearly invincible killing machine.

I really like the first 3 bullet points, great ideas.

The silenced weapon not attracting cops should have been released with the game. I can understand if it was on the street and peds around. At least give it like 30 seconds to give a ped time to call the cops and arrive. I like being able to fire a silenced pistol in the desert and the cops magically knowing about it.

 

I don't think the transparency thing is a good idea but I agree, the stealth aspect is almost completely pointless online. I've only ever stealth killed like one person and only because I was off the rader and they happened to be standing still.

 

I would love some proper stealth missions where the only way to complete it without getting hordes of enemies is to stealth kill everyone. Also, the stealth 'stance' should be crouch. Its ridiculous that it isn't. I hate having to stand up from behind cover to go move somewhere else. Its instadeath.

This is a good idea. You'd basically be able to hide if you were on foot. Seems pretty fair since players on foot are at the biggest disadvantage in freemode.

There would be ninjas free running on collapsing skyscrappers like bosses.
