MrCamo
Yes, you can use just the left stick to float around. Stay off the throttle. Also you can't climb into it. Your friend has to hover above the water to allow you to jump in. Defender1904

ThousandFangs
Screwing around online today, discovered as long as the pilot doesnt get out, the cargo bob can FLOAT on the ocean surface! Great for ocean rescue missions! They need to add an amphibious helicopter that can land in water and take off from it, it would add good possibility of search and rescue missions on the water. DigitalDivine
  Fun fact: if you hit the back end on the ground a few times, you can open the back door. Does that apply for the Titan? It's different.  On the Titan, you have to go on foot and melee hit the door on the side until it opens, then move the plane forward a bit after you see it open a little bit  With the Cargobob, you have to climb a few feet, then pull back and hold L2 (or whatever it's called on Xbox so the back end of the helicopter hits the ground. Do that for a few times, and it should open.

I can't proove it other, than with my snapmatics, but I did snapped just two of them, the Maverick and the Frogger (which is also not the best proof, because from the cockpit aren't well pictures though). I did it then with a Cargobob and with a Buzzard (the non armed version), but not snapped them. http://socialclub.rockstargames.com/games/gtav/snapmatic/myphotos/photo/q4XiAcA5fUqcHpOTxVKu1Q - Maverick http://socialclub.rockstargames.com/games/gtav/snapmatic/myphotos/photo/MhA3KE-ZNUq_aRTBlTKGJQ - Frogger
