Seems no one really likes the music on this game

They really should have done some research on the music IMO. Yeah, the music doesn't break the game, but think about it (not everyne mutes it), you hear the music 90% of the time when in-game. It'd be nice if they actually did a poll or research or EVEN put out top genres that fit the scene.

It still irks me they have no Metal station, yet it appears a lot of the pedestrians seem to wear death metal-like band t-shirts. As I sit here listening to Napalm Death, I feel like there would be so much more of a feel if they put in Bay Area thrash metal. I don't know a single person who listens to the garbage on Channel X radio. Hell even the Classic Rock Station is caca..only a few good songs..and out of all the Queen's big hit songs you put on Radio Gaga? That song is butt cheeks.

Example :

Overkill (one of the first thrash metal bands from Cali)

I'd love to drive down Vinewood mowing people down to Overkill - A Time to Kill

The Pop Stations, the Spanish Station is only good if you want a laugh, the rap station is trash.

There's probably about ten good songs from this game.

Special Agent 25

I Would of thought they would new tracks in the near future, when they released the lost and damned and Ballad of gay tony, they both came with new tracks, a few good ones too.

Don't agree with the title though.. Probably more about personal taste with some people..

Oh man, metal again, it's everywhere. The music is fine and if you want to listen to metal you can turn the in-game radio off entirely from the settings menu and blast your own stuff.

Personally I'd love some chillwave radio station or Nightride FM with Kavinsky, but I ain't bitching because I know more people will enjoy the other radio stations and I don't NEED to use them. The game is made for a plethora of different types of people, not everyone can be satisfied.

I disagree although GTA IV still had the best music with the dlc included.

Also the rap/hip-hop is better than it's ever been.

it was ok for the first 5 loops. also the chat station constantly being off air sucked. listening to my own music is just better....for any game.

music is watchever, mostly because weve heard it all a bajillion times, radio off from now on until they add some new musical content.

There is still songs I like, and if they are on I usually play them because with Turtle Beaches and friends talking, people shooting and sirens it's hard to hear my own music without blasting it through the house.

I guess I could turn the game volume down, but I prefer to have it up.

Variations of this thread are made like everyday, and the same solution will always be there: A Playlist on your Social Club account, and you get the personal station (naming the station if you like would be a fun little add on too) on the radio ring.

This way you can choose any song you want.

It would've been nice to get a death metal channel. Get some Dying Fetus and Napalm Death in there. Maybe some Goatwhore. Top it off with Corpse. Would've been epic.

At least we still have FIDLAR's surf-punk. Definitely vthe best band on the soundtrack.

I was very happy with the radio all around. some people get too caught up in their own genres of music that they fail to see the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow

I think people are more unhappy about the monotony of the music than the music itself though.

You can use xbox music player to play using. Thru turtle beach. When playing your own music it overrides game music but not game sounds. I do it with minecraft all the time I get tired of the music

I think the music is fine personally, even if I wouldn't listen to it when not playing the game. It's just someting nice to have in the background so I'm not that bothered.

The hip Hop station is the worst lmao

OHh man youre examples are bad. Horrible hair metal, overkill sucks.

My examples aren't "bad" and anyone who truly listens to metal would agree with me. Hair Metal is not the same as Thrash and I'm willing to bet you've listened to none of the music listed..please educate yourself and stop making ignorant comments.

It works without Turtle Beaches..only thing is (I haven't tried it in years) the music plays non-stop eve if you get out of your car anyways. Least with the old X Box the music seemed to be in synch. On the old X Box you could upload your music and it'd be tagged and show up on games like Madde but only play the music when music was avalible in-game.

I like their choice of music, but it should have included at least twice as many songs.

the metal/rock stations where very lackluster, and definitely lacked variety.

Yeah, LS Rock Radio isn't nearly as good as Liberty Rock.

The only reason I play it is because it's the only one I can remotely listen to.

I hear way more accolades for the music than negative reactions. I don't know, I like it, yeah, metal would be cool, but I'm doubt they could add enough stations to keep everyone happy.

Seems like a lot of the "newer" music they put out is just to promote the bands like EA Sports started doing with the Madden series years ago. Rather than putting in some solid stations of music that people have grown to love

I would love some "throwback" stations, like Vice City tunes, or the classical station from GTA 3. Would pay a few bucks to have those added...

Hey, heeey... HEY!! I Love the Pop channel. And some other songs on other channels ...

But yeah, give us an option to choose our own playlists.
