Modder crashed my xbox?

Is this possible or did my game just glitch out? I was in a lobby and a modder with an automatic RPG gun was shooting like crazy, so I went and got my tank and started shooting at him. He walked toward me, gave me the finger and then my xbox froze!

I think your xbox couldn't handle all of those graphics and explosions and etc and so it gave out. I do notice that the number of xbox's freezing when playing GTA Online has increased a bit. Mine is doing the same thing because my disc is scratch free and clean and so is my system's tray yet it still freezes.

Normally I would say no, but you are already the 10th (or something) person from whom I hear this today, so that's kinda suspicious...

Yes modders can freeze your xbox. Trying to play gta iv in random session I was frozen on average 5 to 6 test a day. Gta v does freeze quite often. Only froze from a modder when trying to report their tank cannon gun

Either there is a flaw in code.... it's caused by hackers......... or it's failing hardware.

 

I've been reading tons of these reports on R* page.

 

The people who say it's been happening for awhile (i.e. multiple patches ago)... I would assume those people have failing hardware. Either HD or Optical Drive.

 

The people who say it happens when they try to report... seems more likely to be a software flaw and not the work of a hacker.

 

The MANY people on Xbox saying similar things to the OP, where it seemed like someone did it on purpose... well that seems more like a hacker to me because that's quite a coincidence to happen over and over to multiple people...

 

f*ck off with fan boys on both sides... If you have a 360 no reason to switch at this stage in the game... unless you dying to try out those exclusives you missed... vice versa for Sony fanboys...

Now to really piss everyone off

PS4 is the superior system... anyone with a brain knows that... Sony is in sh*t shape though, only their gaming sector is in decent shape

Xbox1 is weaker and less appealing to hardcore gamers because they try to be the jack-of-all media... Microsoft on the other hand is strong and isn't going anywhere.

If you buy either one because of it's logo... you made the wrong choice.

the recent increases in my Xbox crashing have IMHO mainly been down to the fact that R* have been gradually increasing the amount of traffic and NPC's with the latest patches and there are now more cars driving around,

how do I know ? I can see the path nodes they've added to the latest patches.

I once had my Xbox froze for calling a Modder an idiot. Also a PS3 is no different than an Xbox, so it wouldn't fix it (And I know you were joking)

PS3 is more modded at the moment so it would not solve anything.

Not sure if it's possible to freeze yet. Not tried to be honest.

I've had the freezing problem since GTA Online first came out, but it's quite rare (maybe 1 or 2 times a week at the most). What I've found interesting about it is that the radio still plays and if I am in a party, I can still talk with my friends despite my game and Xbox being frozen.

the ps3 super slim is made of really cheap sh*t maybe that's why, but the game itself can't kill a console :)

what did exactly break? maybe you put your console somewhere where it easily overheats, in that case, you would be the cause, not the game ;)

Yeah, let's go ahead and not get into a console war.

 

My Xbox occasionally freezes when there is massive explosions and things happening all at once, and sometimes it just freezes.

 

So I imagine something like a Auto-Rpg would cause this, or maybe it's just a freezing problem that came with the update.

If you didn't know, you can fly a car that isn't supposed to be able to fly and everyone's xbox freezes, it's what I used to do when people didn't believe I could freeze them haha

My Xbox freezes from time to time when re-entering free mode after finishing jobs...like another person mentioned, sound from the radio or other ambient noises play on...

Satan employs Modders and hackers to deliberately destroy a game's playability with cases like these. The word then gets out and youtubers spread the easy to use features of these plagues throughout the community. When a game is no longer playable online it loses its credibility therefore destroying the further success of the developer. Mass media begins further spreading the negative outcomes and the destruction of a developer is rampant..

 

Or.. perhaps people are just stupid and power hungry.

Hackers crash your xbox.

Modders are the ones who modify game files to make the game better.

 

Hackers are the ones who modify the game files for personal gain against other players.

Sorry should of put this but it didn't break my entire console, just the disc drive, but ya apparently a lot of people have had the same problem I had

I installed my play disc (2) to a usb flash drive and now i dont have any freezing issues any more and the game runs much smoother,

but on the topic of modders i have also noticed that sometimes if you point your gun to them ready to shoot they make you turn your back to them and force your action such as finger, dock or whatever action you have selected which makes an easy kill for said modder.
