SimsDaniel916
Titanfall is releasing in about 10 minutes for NA West Coast (Also when the download is up for Xbone). Ever since GTA V & GTA Online came out it is the only game I have played since September with a few little breaks with CoD & Battlefield but with Titanfall I plan on taking a nice break from GTA Online. Â I think that this break will be perfect for me and it would be perfect if others did it as rather than staying on GTA Online and receiving update by update with only a little bit of new content every now and then, if someone where to take a break and come back after about 3-4 Updates with new content GTA Online would feel like a new game as there would be so much new stuff since before "the break". Â My question is, will you be taking a break with Titanfall (or just a break in general) and do you think some GTA Online players just need a break so they don't keep complaining about the lack of new content? Johan
Probably needs to be in the gaming section and not General Chit Chat. Â I took a small break when South Park: Stick of Truth released and I'll be doing it again later today, not for Titanfall because it seems overrated to me, but to get Dark Souls II Â And others do need to take breaks but not everyone has the funds to move from game to game, many buy just one to four games a year so I can see why most of them are still sticking with it. Der Süden
I'm not interested in Titanfall. But I probably will take a break from GTAO with other games like Thief or Infamous SS.  I want a game that replaces GTA and doesn't want to make me come back. A game with a long-term motivating multiplayer. Until The Elder Scrolls Online comes out I guess it will always be just a break from GTAO. I'm waiting for the day I can cancel Xbox Live Gold (the only reason why I still have it is GTAO) and move to PS4 completely. I still like playing GTAO occasionally, but I want a replacement because it got too boring. Edited March 11, 2014 by Preusse
esmittystud101
Ever since I got a next gen I haven't had the urge to go back to GTA. Too many other good games out there right now. Easily replaced.
Daz
Breaking news: Â The world does not revolve around GTA, and some of us actually have better things to do and play. Â Â As for the game in question, I have no idea why anyone is excited about it? A 6v6 multiplayer only game with somewhat small confined maps with gameplay that is in no way new or interesting. It seems that it's only success is due to marketing and the fact "ex Call of Duty developers" are making it, so it might end up with slightly easier controls and gameplay than some other games out there, but that is all I see it as. An over the top stupid cod clone that doesn't seem to offer anything than a stupidly fast paced gameplay experience of eyeball peeling futuristic content. Â I just don't see how this can revolutionize anything, has any of these people ever played a decent battlefield game? As far as I am aware there aren't even any vehicles in titanfall except the mechs, which is just a glorfied on foot weapon. Â Maybe I have just grown to dislike these type of games that encourage players to be running behind their friends and stabbing them and taking everything personal, but I just utterly can't stand it. The only thing I have seen that seemed alright was the boot melee and that you can climb or wallrun up objects, but that just makes it even worse for other players trying to hit them, and even worse for when you are lagging on the server and that is even more of a lead a player can have avoiding someone's fire, which in the end ruins the game for those with connections that don't function as great. Â I don't know where other people's opinions stand, but I don't think there has been a shooter this hyped up for a long ass time that I happen to give completely zero f*cks about. Â I would rather play Planetside 2, SW: Battlefront, Battlefield 2142 or Frontlines: Fuel of War as my futuristic shooter. Danz.

Voodoo
The active GTAO community may be large, but it's a drop in the bucket compared to the number of online gamers globally. Take those R* blinders off, Th3MaN1. Daz
Th3MaN1
The active GTAO community may be large, but it's a drop in the bucket compared to the number of online gamers globally. Take those R* blinders off, Th3MaN1. I already did, a long time ago. Trust me. And you are right, but I'm pretty sure that a portion of people won't even play this game because they are too busy killing other people in GTA:O. And I said 'kinda' revolves around that, not that all the gamers are talking about/playing GTA:O. Also, I was only talking about the console players, because if you want to add PC multiplayer communities here as well, it's no contest. I was just simply saying that GTA:O became a huge multiplayer game, and that surely many people have switched over from 'Online FPS shooter number 231' to GTA:O. Just take a look in the GTA:O forum; even people who hate the game still play it. They bitch around like bitches, yet they still play. Â To keep it short, I never said every online gamer is playing GTA:O. That would be practically impossible. But a quite significant number of people do play this, despite the fact that it's broken. Looking back to my post, it may have sounded like that, but I just probably described my opinion differently. Vercetti42
What Daz was saying is he wants Gaming-Chat to be free of anything GTA related. He actually has a point. There is a separate section for all GTA games and specific sub-forums for each GTA. He also mentioned this in a thread a while back so I'm guessing that was/partly was the reason for his reply. Seriously if you have internet then you must have cable and if you have cable then you must have seen the commercials. They're literally on every channel except disney and all that. Daz
Just to be clear, I couldn't give two ratf*cks about what a lot of people are playing. Â The point is someone coming in here and just automatically asuming that we are all hard-nailed to GTAV like it is god's gift to the gaming world. I for one can easily put it down to play something, especially after how long everyone has had the game already. Â If this was posted within a few weeks or a month of release, I might understand a little better as I can't think of anyone who wouldn't own that game. However, I don't like it how people purposely leave the GTAV section to come into Gaming Chat and continue to talk about it. It is not the only game in the world, it is not important to anyone in this section to be talked about, or else they would be off talking about it in the GTA sections. Â What this does is creates an impression that makes us (or at least me) think you are a fisherman re-discovering land after days at sea. It has always been here, don't just asume everyone here is noshing on Rockstar's metaphorical penis. Any gamer knows the scale and importance of GTAV, and most people don't feel the need to bark and rave about it because they know a lot of people may be on it. They don't need to talk about it, someone else is doing that for them. Â If you want to tell us your own situation that is totally fine, but I strongly dislike people's asumptions on our gaming habits. Â Â So yeah, watched a video review of titanfall, looks pretty sh*tty to me. No doubt it will get a f*cking 9.5/10 as usual. Johan

ArcadeWilliamz
I just got Titanfall and I haven't enjoyed so far because it's multiplayer only campaign and it's crazy and the only thing I enjoyed was the training. Watch Dogs will keep me away from GTA because of its gameplay and long story mode (maybe).

Adam Jensen
This topic doesn't make any f*ckin' sense whatsoever. It's not existential philosophy. There are no big questions and ethical concerns. If people want to play GTA:O they'll play GTA:O. If they won't, they'll do something else. It's a freakin' pastime so who gives a sh*t?
