Deepfry?

The Xbox is designed to deep fry it's self during normal use.

You can coat it in breadcrumbs or batter though.

The last patch is causing a lot of people to randomly freeze. I wouldn't go blaming modders just yet.. mine just froze for the second time tonight.

No you dick licker. It isn't against the god damn law.

If they were DDoSing Xbox Live, then that would be something law enforcement would look into <insert argument about peaceful protest>.

A freezing glitch in a game that may or may not be because of direct hacker input on Xbox systems isn't against the law.

PS3 here... never had a hard freeze... Digital on SSD; second system digital on hybrid-HD

It's not illegal to jailbreak a console. It becomes illegal if you play online. You're breaking Sony/Microsoft's and Rockstar's T&C's if you do

I think it was 2007... before then T&C had little legal ground... they do have more now... but a company's terms doesn't equal law of the land.

Why would the government give a f*ck about what happens with a console?

Stupid thread deserves a stupid response... So imagine if your pee was the same colour as the things you drink. Slurpee pee (heh) would be awesome looking in the winter.

Lots of our laws are extremely old so many laws surrounding video games and digital content have many grey areas. Technically yes it is illegal as the modders/hackers are breaking the terms and conditions. But honestly no law enforcement agency is going to look into it or investigate unless it's a personal attack such as hacking into your email or it is causing lots of damage such as physical (heating up servers), fiscal (loss of money). At the moment its illegal but not a big deal just like jaywalking it's against the law but 99% of cops will look the other way. Not to mention it's extremely difficult to collect evidence and pinpoint it to one group or individual and say they did it they're the cause. If consoles start to get destroyed by hackers then yes police will step in as they're damaging your physical property. If they hack into your account then yes as they are accessing private information. But at the moment theirs not enough evidence, it's not causing damage and it's not causing havoc or pain. Just a few people bring cars into the game.
