Can you believe this is their explanation as to why they have removed on of the best racing circuits (Nurbergring) from the game:

 

"We routinely review post-match Like/Dislike data to help determine which content is popular with the Community. These stats help us to ensure that the best Jobs are always featured, and we can also use this opportunity to switch out Jobs while adding new ones to try out. So please be honest with your Like/Dislike votes at the end of each match, as you are helping to shape the future of GTA Online."

I guess there wasn't enough jumps and the ratio of likes to dislikes by 12 year olds wasn't good enough.

^^^^^As he said, races now need a minimum of 67 jumps, and 262 propane storage tanks scattered about.

Honestly, never heard of this race...

It was rockstar verified. Was brilliant. If it does t come back you've missed out on a gem.

I think my biggest wish for GTAO would be to sign on one day, pause to map, zoom in at Bolingbroke Penitentiary, and not see a skull and cross bone there anymore.

I don't get it. Before it became "Rockstar Verified" it was available to everyone on whatever console it was made on. Then it became "Rockstar Verified" and it was available to everyone on both consoles. Now it's no longer "Rockstar Verified" and it's been deleted entirely, so no one gets to play it. Thanks, Rockstar.

 

PS. "Nürburgring" is a registered trademark, which is probably why Rockstar got rid of it altogether. I don't believe it had anything to do with the like/dislike vote ratio.

One of the few good verified races out there. Actually had this race bookmarked before it was verified.

Shame to read it's gone now.

 

Good to know though that R* did leave Jumps Jumps Jumps, because that's what we obviously want.

I think Social Club is glitching up at the moment. Lots of created jobs are disappearing. My Masterpiece, Battle Los Santos, has disappeared entirely. Here's hoping it's just a glitch and is something that is only temporary.

Most gta players downvote races that are "hard" to them.

Many downvote races simply due to the fact that they didn't do as well as they thought they would.

God forbid a challenging race makes it to the mainstream.

I don't understand why anyone would dislike Nurburgring? It's the best endurance track in the Gran Turismo games.

Hopefully it is just a temporary social club hiccup. The trademark issue seems plausible, though. Too bad, I really enjoyed that one.

Long Haul 2 isn't that bad if you play it with catchup off and don't have people thinking it's a destruction derby. Actually even pretty exciting hen when going neck and neck with 4 others for more than 8 minutes and all finishing within 8 seconds of eachother.

If they got rid of Nürburgring because of that, then why isn't Laguna Seca & Monaco gone?

There's races much harder than that, take for instance the kind of races where you have to maneuver speed to drive through tight alleyways at high speeds and face 90 degree corners.... Nurburgring seems average difficulty. Average.
