Why stocks may never come to Online.

As you all know, the stock market spans across both consoles, and this feature will be available in GTA V on PC. The reason they likely won't have the stock market in Online is due to the fact of how easy it'll be to mod money on the PC version, hence people dumping money into the stock market and completely demolishing it.

 

Anyone else think the stocks will remain SP only?

Got a funny feeling that's how its gonna be. With all the idiots using glitches to muck the game up, I doubt they would want to open the floodgates. Gain a million in glitches, then farm it through markets to make 20 times that...

its ashame too because theres a good majority of us who dont want to glitch and waste efforts cheating, who would actually play these kinds of things like casinos and stocks the way its meant to be. but nope the other 5% tottally ruins that for us.

I enjoyed using the stock market during the Lester Assassination missions, just putting all my money in and watching it grow. Managed to make around 300% on one mission and finally buy the golf course. I just can't imagine it working in online for reasons which you stated.

I agree. I don't really see it opening for GTAO. It seems like too much of a passive GTA$-maker to be in an online game centered around either actively playing for GTA$ or buying GTA$. Of course, you could lose GTA$ too- so who knows. The casino, or gambling in general, seems much more likely to occur due to the player actively having to do something during the timeframe. *crossing fingers for Grove Street Cardboard Craps*

The only time I would welcome an online stock market is if Mansions are put up for Sale otherwise it's just another thing I don't get to shoot my guns at

 

...If stock market is implemented before we can buy mansions , I'd want bounties to be put on players who have to cash their stocks ,take their money across the map and deposit it. None of this online banking for amounts over

3 million.

i'll be mad as hell the day it comes out because it means they wasted good dev time on irrelevant crap.

 

not to mention the time they will then have to spend on fixing the fallout from all the flaws and exploits they missed.

It would be nice, but I think the sheer mechanics of it will make it something where somebody could really easily make money. I don't think R* will implement it unless they do a 180 with the direction they've been taking with making money or they give up, releasing it for the hell of it.

It's amazing how many suckers believe PC to be the lone fault for everything.
As if consoles have never heard of piracy, hacking & editing...

The reason stocks will never come to fruition is simple: GTA$ has no value anymore since people have amassed fortunes never meant to be had by so many is such short time.

Ummm, everyone figured this out MONTHS ago... nothing new and way obvious.

 

Then actually post something of actual value instead of gibber gabber, yeah? :)

 

EDIT: @Xyn, you have to be a drone to believe that everyone actually thinks that is the only platform that'd have this. It is just far more easier to do it on a computer due to easier access.

I highly doubt Rockstar would want to miss out on making money from online on the PC.
