Whenever I am cowering on the edge of a building and another player is the other side of the bend on the corner, if i quickly jump and try and auto aim and shoot I usually die. It I wait for the player to jump out, i start firing, i still die. this also happens when i'm down low and I jump out to shoot the guy above me, often my gun doesnt seem to focus even when he's right in front of me. i seem to always get popped, what am i doing wrong?

On the edge of a building you can lean forvard and get the aiming circle thing to pop up without exiting cover. Set it in the right place and wait for him to pop out and then hold down R2/RT but not the aiming button so you fire without exiting cover. This helps me get some sweet and easy kills i can no scope people from a distance easy mode by doing this. A very helpfull feature.

when you say not the aiming button, so you are free aiming? and what's with the RT button as I'm already hiding when I do R2?

thanks.

when your in cover you can push the analog stick to lean slightly and the aiming reticule appears, place that where the enemy will appear, go back in cover fully, do not press the aim button and when he appears press to fire and you will blind fire towards the place you originally aimed at, giving you an easy kill without risking your life.

In response to the original post what you're doing wrong is shooting 1st, when you and an enemy are both in cover you have 2 options wait for him to come out and then shoot, or throw a grenade or sticky bomb to kill him.

Never leave cover first.

try and auto aim

Well there's your problem. ;)

But in all seriousness, you're just not shooting them fast enough or in the right place. Also, if you're a low rank and you're shooting at a high rank it will usually result in failure because they have much more health than you and are typically more experienced.

Yeah. I think every 20 rank ups gives you more health. You will notice it say something like 20/100, 80/100, or 100/100.

I didnt know that. that explains why i still die even though I appear to get in first and I'm spraying the guy with bullets.

depending on how for away the two of you are and what weapon the person has equipped you can pop out of cover and immediately roll to break their lock on you. If you're too close or too far then they'll just free-aim and still kill you, but it's very handy if they're holding grenades/stickies. Also, the best way to even the odds against players who have more health and/or better weapons is to aim for the head. Even with a pistol it only takes at most two shots, so if you're having trouble making headshots, practice, practice, practice. Hope this helps!

Black & White

The best five tips for corner killing.

1 - Never leave the corner. Be patient and don't give in. The other person is testing you're patience. And if you're patience level is low, he will be waiting for you and will kill you in a matter of seconds.

2 - Show him that you aren't carrying any deadly weapons. Shoot pistol bullets into the air. If he is holding an AK47 and he sees you holding a pistol, he'll automatically assume that is the only gun of which you are using. Comparing an assault rifle to a rubbish pistol, the assault rifle will win.

3 - As I've said in tip number two, carry good guns. Once you shoot pistol bullets into the air, quickly change to a shotgun, preferably an assault shotgun. Even if you shoot him twice in the foot, you will kill him. He won't be expecting it.

4 - If the other player is constantly hiding and won't come out of hiding, throw some grenades, although sticky bombs are far better. You should purchase some rocket launcher ammo too. They are deadly and will cause a huge explosion if he is behind several cars or other vehicles. Even if the other players isn't necessarily hiding behind a car, he will still die. If the car is near a building and he's hiding beside the building, it will have a fair impact and it will f*ck him up.

5 - Try tricking people. Run to the other side, or pretend you are going the other way. The player will obviously run to the spot that you were formerly hiding at. But instead of actually running away, go back to the spot and he won't have anywhere to hide. It will be open air, and you have the better chance of surviving because you have that hiding bit.
