Wtf Cargobob!?

Am I missing something? Everytime I try to use this thing outside of a mission it doesnt pick up anything... I play coveted alot and can pick up the damn crate with ZERO problems....

I know exactly what you mean...It's touchy sometimes, there's times I can latch on to a fast moving vehicle first try no problem, then, sometimes I have a hard time with a standing still car?

The mission your picking up a large object. In freeroam, cars are much smaller and sometimes take a few goes to pick up. Have you pressed > to deploy hook?

 

Try picking up something like a port a loo, they are easy. Same with the big dumps

If in FR you are trying to collect a moving object server lag may mean it isn't exactly where you think it is.

I have also attempted this with a stationary vehicle and no luck... I will see the hook and the wire hit the car and just rest on it. Id say about 11 out of 10 times it just rests on the vehicle and then my cargobob takes a smokers break.

That giant container is an easy target. With cars its much easier to be a tad off with your depth perception. There's nothing wrong with the cargobob hook. Car roofs are considerably smaller than giant containers.

Why haven't I thought of that. Damn good idea there. Probably lots of uses for a shipping container I've never considered.

Only some containers can be lifted, you can be really lucky and find one u can open with a sticky bomb and drive a car in.

Don't try life a long one... bad things will happen.

Yeah, with cars I noticed they're a lot more touchy, you have to hit a sweet spot, it usually works if I try to get the corner or edge of the car

It can be really touchy. One time a crew mate and I were ferrying Surfers to the top of chiliad for a mass lemming run, I'd say half my pickups went really smoothly but the other half were diabolical.
