For me its playing as a chick because although i play as both theres something about playing as a chick that is fun. For one there is more customization options, funnier dialogue especially with trevor, lamar, and lester, and i also say that since there were male main protagonists its something new and different playing as a female being that theres no female protagonists in pelrevious GTA games. If rockstar did make a female lead i think it work if paired up with a male character that you switch back and worth with and is given an edgy tom boyish badass personality paired with good looks similar to lara croft. Before you go bashing me about playing as a chick im 100% comfortable with myself and don't need to act macho 24/7 and dont discriminate because both can be just as badass just in their different ways and not one of those weirdos pretending to be a female and trying to dress her s****. Feel free to share your opinion

Here we go again...

 

I use female toons as most of the game characters are male so it adds a bit of balance. Also comedy that every time either Lola or Tanya enter an open lobby they are spammed with apartment or mission invites

Why? For the same reason my male character is a 40-year old balding man instead of some young, hip guy with a chiseled jaw.

 

Because it's my game and I play how I like.

I play as my female character once a month to simulate her menstrual cycle and go on a rampage, then cry for no reason and eat loads of ego chasers.

Saints Row 4 caused me to never choose male characters again. People who did "everything for everyone" know what I mean.

I however can understand that some males wanted to be a female IRL and now have to chance to play with an female avatar, which they do. Can't blame them. Its also odd to see how much in-dept they go with their female character, their names, female name tags in number plates and sometimes even do female voices on mics.

If Barbie dolls in my youth were as customizeable as in gta and remote controlled to run around and beat people up, I would've had 10.

See i understand that there are some weirdos online who take it a bit too far with playing as a female but it doesn't mean everyone including myself does that and i certaintly dont dress her like a hooker because it comes off as cheesy in fact with my toon i just equip her with a black leather jacket, jeans, blacks boots or heels and a pair of shades and to give her a more edgy look.
