Adder vs Entity... the great debate

Most people prefer Entities because they say the handling is better... But is it really better?

The Entity drives with UNDERSTEER which is easier for beginners to use. The back of the car stays anchored to it's position when turning and this means you skid out less but it also means you can't turn as sharp.

The Adder drives with OVERSTEER which is difficult to get the hang of, but astute Adder drivers know that once you get the hang of oversteer, you are at a real advantage. you can turn corners sharper than Entity drivers and also don't have to slow down as early when approaching a turn.

However, oversteer also means that the Adder is very prone to being spun out. An Entity is tougher when it comes to the rough and tumble of competitive racing. It's not as delicate as an Adder.

The Entity wins on acceleration whilst the Adder wins on top speed.

Most people prefer the Entity, but a few of us prefer Adders because we have learned to deal with the oversteer.

All down to personal preference, but to anyone who has given up on the Adder, I would really recommend giving it another shot racing solo and practicing the corners. Once you get the hang of oversteer, you will have a real advantage.

Grotti Turismo R can beat both Adder and Entity in races.

I bought the Turismo R recently but haven't had a chance to mod it out yet so I can't compare them myself yet. Seems like a very decent car though.

so CAN the lawnmower, your enemy just has to be retarded.

However, I like the Turismo's performance the most even though its front looks fugly, so you got a point there

Entity will win on tracks with corners, adder wins on things like the commute, route 68 etc.

For free-roam the entity wins hands down due to it's bulletproof rear.

I find the Entity is able to turn very sharp actually, it just takes a little extra braking. The faster acceleration out of corners and more reliable handling (less spin outs) makes the Entity a clear choice for me.

Even a slight kick out of the rear end of an Adder loses a lot of time trying to regain traction and control.

They are so close though that it does come down to the driver and the track. I've taken down many Turismos and Adders in my Entity.

False

Agreed. the adder beats the turismo on long straights and the entity beats the turismo around corners, turismo is more of a middle ground between the two.

Saying the turismo r can beat them in races is a ridiculous statement, any car can beat any other car.

Entity is the top dog!! Acceleration and traction.

Adder is great but you need a long straight to reach top speed. Who the hell drives straight for that long?? I have an Adder on my 2nd character dude just to say I have one.. Lol..

I sold the Adder on my first cause I have a muscle car addiction.. :p

False, unless a driver is retarded, a surfer will never beat an entity in any race. It can't win, but the entity can lose, if that makes sense.

I was doing fast starts to unlock colors on criminal records by myself this weekend (figured it was a good time with the added RP), and I noticed that in 1 lap races, turismo was running 26s, entity was running low 27s, and my adder I sold by accident (some reason when I went to fix it, I went to sell and thought "yes, I would like to fix my car, why are you asking twice"...it was a solid 45 minutes of owning a great car) so I have stricken those memories from the record.

In the right situation, the Turismo Adder and Entity can all beat each other. However, I have found the volumes of that situation are greater for the Entity.

this.... its down to how you drive... just

becasue your prefer under/oversteer doesnt make you a crap driver, jsut a different one..

but what you find is wether you prefer under or over steer, theres a car in each class that will suit your needs, usually pretty well balanced in terms of the cost/benefit of top speed./acceleration/traction.

theres a thread to put that to the test you know....
