I don't know what a cockstar is, but if Rockstar released paid DLC I wouldn't mind.

if you look at the model theyve done, you release 'free updates' that cost in game cash. Limited time offers like the Roose force people into buying cash cards. Paid DLC would be hard to implement unless everyone is forced to download the content but only people that paid for it would be able to use it, then hackers would gain access for free. Just doesnt make sense really.

Nah, I don't agree with paid DLCs.

 

Cash-to-ingame-cash transaction is much better. It's not forced upon you, as in it's not perma-locked unless you pay 2 dollars for a f*cking t-shirt with a picture of a dog on it like Naughty Dog's dumbass moves.

I would guess the first paid DLC would bring story DLC but you can bet your house that it would come with a title update with fixes. Just makes sense.

i doubt paid (i.e optional) dlc would have patch updates, as otherwise not everyone would get them... the patch and the paid DLC would need to be separate downloads, otherwise youd get patched users and unpatched users based on who got the paid dlc

Just saying there has not been a single game that I play that has had Dlc added of that size that it would be without a title update attached to it.

I'm talking story dlc here not just a few cars and guns.

Whole new cities it would need a title update without doubt.
