Crates glitched now?

I'm standing next to one right now and it just will not open

 

I've shot it with literally every weapon I have

 

this ever happen before, or is this another one of R*'s new f*ck-ups?

Could it be that someone's already gotten to it and the object just hasn't de-spawned yet? Same sort of thing happens with the big-ass circle on the map indicating crate drops

can't be, since i'm in an empty server, just me and one other player who's lvl3, and he kinda ignored it

 

it dropped just as i was exiting my garage so i drove to it, only to find out it's apparently indestructible

This happened to me before, the only way it makes sense is a bug with your connection to the session or a bug with your character not recognizing the crate as a pick up/destructible item.

 

I was in a heated foot war near central LSC when a crate dropped outside Stab City (The Lost camp). I left the war and flew over to it only to find I couldn't pick up the goods or destroy it. Spent about 30 seconds investigating it until a lower level I pissed off in the foot war tailed me in a buzzard and killed me. As I respawned I saw him shoot up the crate and grab the contents. The name showed up on the player feed confirming he grabbed the crate too, It worked as it should for him but not for me.

 

 

Not too happy about how that played out, I got away from the scene with a free buzzard.

Just walk away and wait for another one. With all the bugs in this game, why fret over something so trivial?? Your only gonna get a pittance anyway.

 

I leave that stuff to the lower level guys who need it far more than I do. Hell your lucky to see em at all. For the first 2 months I played, I only saw one drop! Now I see em all the time and couldn't care less about em.

that happened to me today like literally an hour ago i was shooting it with the auto shotgun and nothing so i got in my buzzard and smashed it it probably took like 3 times before it finally broke open ive noticed this happens with ammo drop as well the ammo box will be right in front of you and you can walk over it shoot it jump on it and it still wont let you pick it up until like 2 whole minutes go by then finally its in your inventory.
