Is this GTA or World of Tanks? Lol... I think cudweiser was talking how avoid tanks I know, I know... I was being sarcastic. But seriously, tanks were fun in singleplayer in the older games... You know, the cheat code one. Ever since they brought them online, it's no longer cool anymore. It's just a cheap tactic. they dont bother me much . not hard to avoid or detect Yeah, for you... You're level 104, dude. Most tank drivers target low level players because they know they can't do anything. Even with the RPG, it takes like 10 rockets to kill the damn thing... Even then you're just blowing your own money... you dont need to be a high level to be able to avoid and detect them easily . and i still get killed once or twice by tanks . heck i got blown up by one just 3 days ago , blew up my car . didnt have to pay for insurance though . so i didnt care . Cudwieser Posted March 10, 2014 Share Posted March 10, 2014 (edited) Just to say evasion tactics can be used to lure and trap and as an offensive tactic (Multi stories are fun sniping spots and can be the saviour of both tanks and tank destroyers (tunnels are the same). It's basic gunmanship. MadHaTT3R Posted March 11, 2014 Share Posted March 11, 2014 I was perusing the R* support forum and sure enough found a thread by some guy who was complaining that he was killed by a tank, multiple times and thought it wrong. As he told his story though, it came to light that he had been actually attacking the tank with his cars. He had heard the tank and thought it would be fun to attack it over and over again, with just his car!! Was upset that he couldn't beat it and wondered why. This is the other side of the tank equation. People that actually make a point to attack said tank...They hear it and go after it, just to get upset when it beats them!! So if like me, the guy is simply getting wanted levels and is attacked by a player keen to stick his nose up the tanks ass, we are suddenly the bad guy!! The only thing I think is a good idea to fix this, is a higher cost for tanks to be called on and a longer wait between tank availability. If you cant get away from a tank or worse go after them, then you really should learn more. I used to hate em to, till I learned how to avoid them and nowadays I can just work with a friend to take it out. Knowledge and preparation is key (as it is to most circumstances in the game). If you get killed, so be it, if it happens again then you can expect it again IMHO. Dr Phat Packs Posted March 11, 2014 Share Posted March 11, 2014 Get good in the Lazer/F16/Fighter Jet. I could've taken on that entire session of tanks no problem. They can't shoot straight up, once you can accurately shoot straight down without crashing you become a tank buster. There's no telling how many tanks I've blown up. As soon as I see one in free aim I kill them immediately and suggest they stick to auto aim with the other less skilled players. Wanna know something else funny? I got Bad Sport for blowing up too many cars of people trying to get back to their tanks to torture low level players. Bad sport for being the good guy of GTA Online. Shooting them through the window of their car, or sniping them from afar, works just as well, without giving you bad sport or making you pay for their insurance. Just a friendly bit of advice.
