But just now someone in a tank blew me up in my infernus, and every time (yes multiple times) I called the insurance company I had to pay for a replacement, and also every time it spawned there was someone there who blew it up…literally as it spawned. How is R* ok with this and why doesn't your car just spawn in your f*cking garage?? Unless it's been changed recently, I thought that if someone else destroyed it, they'd get charged the price of getting another one and would also receive a bad sport notification. I just grab my tank and run around, then when a taker gets close I go into run away mode and go hide. Then they come around a corner... BOOM. It's because little smart ass kids thought they were being funny crashing adders into tanks to bankrupt them and give them bad sport. I myself was a victim of this in the early days when destroying 4 or 5 cars got you bad sport, all i was doing was trying to destroy police helicopters for the award and 2 people kept crashing cars into me, it cost me a fortune and i got stuck in a lobby full of tanks and griefers for 4 days playing by myself because my friends were all good sport. Or the insurance company starts repo-ing the tank abusers things until they have nothing left. I vote for the latter. Awards/achievements for tanks can be completed in private sessions. Having a tank out in an open session is asking for trouble, no excuses. The abuse is just that bad. Using a tank miles away from everyone in the desert doesn't make it ok for players to seek me out and crash into me to bankrupt and bad sport me, especially when i said to them what i was doing. As far as I'm concerned this is karma. Tanks are not even a problem they're slow as hell, yeah you might get killed once, then just passive mode and off the radar, highlight the tank user so you can avoid him and there's no problem, call a mugger and laugh as the mugger drives off in his tank. Got boring after a while, and he took of in another direction. I figured he just ran away, but then I saw his blip starting to get closer again. This time he'd brought his tank with him. This is pretty much what tank people are like. They suck and they can't deal with it. Cudwieser Posted March 10, 2014 Share Posted March 10, 2014 I occasionally use the tank for marauding of killing cops (what is the period of the 50rp award for waiting out a 5 star wanted level?). I make no effort to grief (one or two kills in hardly griefing before moving on) with it and I have come across adventurous few with stickies and grenades and have been ended that way. If you're game you know what to expect, but by and large I keep moving for two reasons. Staying still is boring and deadly as the tanks aren't invulnerable. If you have a bounty and I get you with the tank, so be it. I've got many with guns, cars and planes. Tanks are fun with their advantages and disadvantages, same as all gtas before. P.S A little tip. You're level 104, dude. Most tank drivers target low level players because they know they can't do anything. Even with the RPG, it takes like 10 rockets to kill the damn thing...
