I want to join a race, not host one

All afternoon I've been trying to join a race via the Quick Job menu on the cell phone, but instead I keep getting thrown into an empty race with me as the Host. I don't have a dunce hat on so I don't think I'm tagged as a bad sport. Is there any way to check? Does anyone know what's going on?

Is your connection ok? I mean when you join a lobby, you see many players? If yes, it's maybe your connection problem.

could be this... alternatively it might jsut be a lack of lobbies with open slots... might seem unlickely but with more and more people using Closed Matchmaking ive seen the same happen a few time sto me when trying to join a quick job,

Quick job option off the phone menu, just join a race. You'll only be designated as the host if there is one other person in the lobby, and that person leaves for w/e reason.

usually when i do quick job and want to join but instead i get the host and everyone leaving. I know it's my connection, I don't know about you. Maybe it's similar to mine problem.
