Recommended Posts

GTA London 1969 released on April 29th 1999.

GTA London 1961 released on June 1st 1999.

GTA 2 released on October 22nd 1999.

Will all be 15 years old this year,Wow i cant believe it been that long,and seeing the Series will be 20 years in just 3 years (2017) shows how far GTA has existed,i know it SA's 10th Year this Year but it would be amazing if Rockstar could maybe Reboot the London games and also remaster GTA2's Graphics and put them on PSN and XBLM for downloading it would be Amazing,I will spend my money get these 3 games.What do you guys think?

(btw i got the release dates from GTA Wiki,Wikipedia and the Franchise Official site).

yeah I wish they made them for mobile too like they did with the 3D ones for the anniversary, I wonder if they didn't because they have some weird copyright issues or they just didn't feel like it

I want GTA2 to be re-released on IOS and Android just like the 3D Eras' 10th Years Editions (III,VC and SA),but i want GTA London 1969 to be Rebooted (Remake) with HD Graphics and modern features like Mini-map,GPS but it should still have everything that was in the Original.Capcom did that this year with Strider's 25th Year i am sure Rockstar can with GTA London 1969 afterall it the 2D Eras GTA and the Franchise is own by them since it inception in 1997 so i dont think it Copyright issues.I think Rockstar wouldnt do that afterall SA is 10 this year and that what they would celebrate.and GTA (1997) will make the Franchise be 20 years in 2017 so maybe Rockstar might then do an HD Remaster of the 2D Era games.

screw IOS and Android. Xbl marketplace and ps store would be much better by better more downloads

It only feels like yesterday I was tearing up the streets of LC, VC and SA with the famous "Joyride" playing on the radio.

Good times.

And of course GTA II's theme...

Unfortunate to say, I really don't think they're do anything beyond acknowledge it.

London wasn't all that great, and II had a really limited fanbase considering the series wasn't such a titan back that.

It'll be cool if something happens, though. Something tells me GTA 2 would play a lot better on iOS than any of the 3D era games do.

@SoL

But GTA (1997) and the whole Franchise will be 17 years old this year and i am talking about the London Game

-s and GTA2 (1999) which are going to be 15 years old this year.

@Drunken Cowboy

True,but GTA (1997) and GTA2 (1999) were cult classics.I am sure all the 2D Era games would run perfectly

fine on mobile and IOS.

@bikerman3

Firstly, those stores are cancer killing video games. Secondly, I can't imagine how 20th century top-down game can be playable on modern HDTV's. And thirdly, consoles suck.

OT: I really want to see GTA 2 on mobile, I played previous mobile GTA's on a tablet and they were great, but SA seems too big to play on mobile device (think of this as playing Skyrim on a 3,5" mobile phone.

It's a cool game, I also love the fact that GTA London 1969 and GTA IV were released on my birthday.

Unfortunately I don't have London but I do have 1 and 2, they're pretty fun. :p

That Cool bro,and GTA London 1969 being 15 years old next month will make it one of the oldest Expansion pack in Video Game History :)

@Spitefulpotato

I wish that aswell,but if it doesnt get a mobile edition this year maybe it will have one in GTA's 20th Year in 2017 :)

I couldnt agree with this more, i wish so too bro :) but like i said the Franchise will be 20 years old in 2017 (1997-2017) so maybe Rockstar might Remaster the 4 2D Era Games and re-release them all on mobile :)

I still cant believe there was a GTA game set in 1960s London 15 years ago,Damn GTA is a Diverse Franchise :)

@SoL

GTA (1997) isnt part of this cus it 2 years older than the 3 mentioned 2D Era games released 15 years ago,GTA (1997) is the Birth of this Legendary Franchise making the the whole Franchise 17 years old this year and 20 years in 2017.The thread is about the two London games and GTA2 released in 1999.

Lol it great to see some GTA vets talking about the first game that started a Legendary and Icon Franchise even

though the thread is about the 15 years of GTA London 1969 and GTA2.Nostalgia is Great esp. for the Cult Classic

and success of GTA (1997) and GTA2 (1999) :).

I wish they could bring them to Mobile Devices; iOS and Android not just PSN/XBLA but unfortunately R* arent focusing on London and 2's 15th Anniversary,because this year is SA's 10th Anniversary (2004-2014). Edited by Blood-Is-in-Diamond
