Golf tournament for SURF crew members

 

Exact format will depend on the number of registrations however in general terms participants will be split into preliminary groups. Winners (or top scores?) to advance to a final (or semi final if numbers require it). Based on preliminary interest semis will probably not be needed. Preliminary groups will be as random as possible allowing for time zone requirements.

How long this will take is unknown due to the need to accommodate peoples real lives - we are not planning to run the entire tournament in a single session - however I suggest allowing an hour to play a round, especially if the format requires foursomes. If possible the final will be played over 18 holes.

 

Register here with time zone and available hours. Local time is fine but translation to PST or GMT wouldn't hurt . We'll need gamertags eventually but there's no need to post them publicly.

7am-10am or 11.30pm-2am local but can probably get on for a round of golf 11am-4pm most days. (Translated to PST that's 10am-1pm, 2.30am-5am, potentially 2pm-7pm).

I am interested. My local time is GMT+10 so idk exactly how this thing will work. maybe the NZ and Aussies can go some elimination rounds and the UK peeps then narrow it down then work out a convenient time to run finals.

That's pretty much the plan, maybe not that region specific as for example I match well with UK and Anzac times and on weekends with USA daytime players. Counting you in, I mostly see you in the evenings (local) I think?

Time Zone: Central (CST/CDT); We started "Daylight Savings Time" last Sunday, so I think it's -6 Hours compared to GMT.

Availability: Weekends are best; my current work schedule allows for anytime on Tuesdays and Thursdays, ideally anytime after 1:00 PM Central.

 

Keep me posted, I think this will be a good time!
