No cops lobby option?

Sometimes the cops in online can really ruin your chaotic day in Los Santos and Blaine County. If you just want to enjoy a nice little battle with friends without interruption across the map be prepared to fight. You may also even get a wanted level for doing the most random thing. It can get annoying after awhile.

 

Of course there are moments in online where you would like to have some epic police chases and shootouts. But an option to cause mayhem without a bunch of cop cars ramming into you would be nice.

 

Edit: Perhaps I should have just called the thread "Would you like to see non-ranked lobbies with different options" because that is essentially what it is. No cops, no ranking up etc.

No cops = people just robbing the stores with no repurcutions, plenty more scenarios why cops are more important to the game than we realize, but having no cops lobbies would then cause a split, and eventually everyone would just join no cops lobbies and it would then go back to how GTA4 was with just mindless killing in free-roam and not much else.

 

Sorry as much as the cops are annoying when they come after you for sometimes just hitting a pedestrian with the car or defending yourself against someone I do think having a no cops lobby would be a bad call.

I'd like to add that if there was such an option, R* could just turn off all means of getting money in that lobby so no one could exploit. A non-ranked lobby perhaps?

Yep sometimes they are so f*cking annoying .... Like when they are chasing a random player, a police car hit you because they drive like crazy and you get a star ! i'm not talking when you have a buzzard on your ass and they just wait untill you are near a cop car to lock missile on it and destroy your car or also when you are in a session with a lot of fight and you can hear sirens in the whole town after an hour it's like my head will blow up ... atleast i'm happy we can call lester to remove stars

Actually, Yes. R* added a preference option in your cell phone on GTAIV that allowed you to join lobbies where cops were disabled, auto aim was disabled, friendly fire on or off. Oh how I miss NO noob auto aim matches. Shooting pilots out free aim all day baby. Now GTAV is very easy compared to GTAIV.

as a person that played nothing but IV for 2 years i can assure that we had the option of turning off the cops.

 

as for a cop free gtao, to make things fair we would need to have store robberies and armored trucks disabled.

 

cop free gtao server should be nothing less than a battle ground, a place where you go to battle with other players in freeroam.

 

you can buy ammo, you can buy candy at the store, clothes and all but you cant rob stores or armored trucks.

 

a server like that would make me the happiest man on earth!

You can change to free aim while paused in story mode then join online. It will put you in a free aim lobby.

The cops are seriously annoying as hell. Gta iv had this option and it made the online gameplay great.

1 wanted star shouldnt equal cops with shotguns, swat vans and helicopter snipers trying to kill you.

especially when the only reason you have a wanted star is because some player in a tank tried to kill you while you where in passive mode.

I'd be happy if they ignored player killing player, and an option to mute the sirens. So many great battles are ruined by the cops swarming in and taking over the area. And on top of that if you are killed in the mayhem you'll redrawn with little chance of a revenge kill without being gunned down by the cops since they take their time dispersing.

OP,I agree with you that cops are annoying and ruin free mode wars but you gotta think that they cant just remove them,they would nvr negate their work into their depot system and generally your wanted levels when u steal cars for Simeon.The only way I see it is R* make it that we dont get wanted level for shooting other players or randomly in the air.Wanted levels should be given only when civilians get shot!
