Car seats bullet-proof

I recently bought a Stinger and got it without the soft top (after buying it 4 damn times) and noticed this:

 

My head was completely covered by the seats. I wondered if this meant that my Stinger was bullet-proof from the back and I checked by finding a hostile player (something we're definitely not short of in Online). And sure enough, he couldn't hit me while I was just standing there quietly, not returning fire (and he then blew me up, I could've known that would follow). I got a new Stinger from my insurance company and as luck would have it, some other guy stole my Stinger. I happened to be close and stole a Ruiner to attempt to kill him. I had 3-5 clear shots, but I didn't even hit him once, I chased him all the way from Mors depot to just outside LS before I kicked him from my vehicle and brutally killed him.
TL;DR a player on foot can't hit me while standing still, a player in a car behind me can't hit me and I can't hit a player in my car from behind so the carseats are also bullet-proof. Not sure if this was already known or not, but either way, I think it's good to know when buying a new car

I've always wanted a soft top stinger just don't want to waste money selling my white convertible to try and get the soft top.

From my experience, the soft top has a higher chance of turning up when you buy it in red. I bought it twice in red and once in yellow, all soft top. Then I bought it in green (because it had no top in the picture, and it was in green), and got it without the top. Weird, but I think colours are in play here.
