Zach25
Every second thread I open on here I get whisked away to the app store and asked to download the William Hill betting app! Howcomes guys? It's been like this for two days now, I'm using an iPhone if that helps to work out what's going on, it's only happening on gtaforums all other sites I use are fine so I presume it's at your end. Vanto
Probably you pressed a ad from the mobile version.
Polish_Trucker
You must have big fingers if you keep pressing the ads. Vanto
RoadRunner71
This has also been happening to me for some time now with other sites. It's some kind of new invasive ads. I don't really know how to stop it. However, lately, the amount of times this has happened to me has notoriously decreased. Zach25
I have big fingers but there are no ads visible I'm merely tapping the thread title from the list of threads.
RoadRunner71
It's nothing related to what you touch, the app store automatically opens. It's really annoying.

I know it's logical to start by blaming us, but... - We don't allow any automatic redirects, or any other intrusive advertising of this type. - We currently don't serve William Hill ads (or any gambling related ads for that matter). - As far as I know, the ad network containers don't allow automatic redirection. The nearest ad trigger to this is a 2-3 second hover of the cursor over the ad, but this is very rare and doesn't work on touch devices. Every report like this is usually always caused by a browser, OS, proxy or sometimes an ad-supported ISP issue. I believe we had an instance of a bogus ad being served on one occasion, but from memory that was 7+ years ago, on a completely different ad network. If you are not using a proxy or ad-sponsored ISP, my suggestion would be to check what you have installed on your iPhone, especially if you've jailbroken it, or reduced the security in any other way. Please do not PM staff regarding support issues - use The GTA Network Support Forum
Ryan
You probably have some type of malicious software on your phone that is redirecting you to that app. I'd suggest downloading an anti-virus app and running a scan of your phone.
Kirsty
This happened to me as well several times yesterday - only on GTAF using iPhone 4 on Safari browser - but didn't get it this morning when I was browsing.
