So whats the point in the 400k apartment?

Recommended Posts

Mr. Muramasa

My apartment only cost me about 200k, and from gameplay videos it looks exactly the same as the 400k apartment.

I like where my apartment is located, its near the Del Pierro Pier and isn't that hard to find, but I have seen so many players hide from their bounties in the expensive apartment and so many people just run off there in general that it makes me sort of wonder whats so great about that apartment. As far as I know there isn't any reason to swap apartments at the moment, and if I wanted to I could buy the high end one (I'm only like 50k off from 400k).

Whats so great about it? Bragging rights? Bragging about how you know how to cheat rights?

Do you have all the things needed for heists? if so, then there's no need to move.

Lets see... 10 car garage, heist planning room, wine, whiskey, green juice, a bong, big TV, nice living/dining/kitchen area, walk in closet, fancy bathroom, fancy bedroom...

Checking videos... looks exactly like the 400k...

...yep I'd say so. If only that apartment close to the helipad had all this, I wouldn't be in this fancy place...

There is no point to living in the 400k apt. as opposed to the others.

I've moved around to 4 others, but never bothered with that one. I think its in a crappy location too.

Also you cant see the action on the street at all from your windows.

I bought it pretty soon after the GTAO was released.

The only reason I bought it was because it was the most expensive one, I dont spend that much time in it so the view, or looking at people out of the window doesn't bother me one bit as I spawn in my apartment and then leave straight away.

The point in having an Eclipse Towers Apartment, is simply because it's a lot of fun driving up the hill at top speed and jumping into into your garage door, and then watching the humourous results in the entry cutscene!

I don't have the 400k one there though, as I don't like the view as much as the 391k one.

It's a status thing mainly, just like people having a garage full of super cars, to me it's stupid, just get the cars you like or the best from each category if your a racer, there's no point having every super car, when 1 or 2 are the best.

I also personally prefer the del perro 1 however I re-bought the 400K because it's got a greater re-sale value should i buy a new house in future dlc and it's fun to live there with all the action around.

As long as your apartment is over 200K you can do heists there.

Lol yeah, Eclipse tower is glitcher's paradise

Personally I prefer Alta for my main because of the location, and nice driveway that ducks down into a door that doesn't look like it was made from scrap metal.

My second has Weazel becuase its just a beautiful looking property.

I don't see any point to the apartments.

You bring home a chick, she doesn't bang ya, does the same stupid ass dance as in the club. Nothing special.

Other players come,, oh.. whooopy dooo...... Eat my food. Smoke all my weed, drink all my whisky and stink up the toilet. Wow..

This ain't the SIMS, this is GTA... No need for lazying around in an apartment..

This is the apartment that all glitchers use for their money glitches and all the other random crap.

I can think of no other reason to make that a permanent residence. View sucks, neighborhood is full of douche bags, cost is to high, etc.

I like the Integrity building myself. 3-4 spawn points and easy escape from cops. Plus its cheap. With the garage situated like it is, if any scrubs camp the garage door you can easily go off radar and around the front to kill em. Close to all major shopping centers. Highly reccome....err I mean I hate the place and you should definitely not move there!!

i was there from the beginning as soon as i got my 500k stimulus pack . then a few weeks ago i moved into the weazle plaza building . best decision i have made in that game so far . noone really camps there , has a great view of the beach and boardwalk with the rides on it . and its close to everything i need

I bought my 400k apartment with the first 350k(ish) that I made, after grinding survival after survival when I was a low level and there was no better value-for-money mission at the time, I spent a day in a 100k apartment and then traded it in for the 400k one. If what you're saying is true, then the only thing you are missing out on is the value of the 50% discount, if you swap the 400k apartment you'll get a $200,000 discount, rather than the $100,000 one you'd get for your current one. It would prove helpful if any more properties were released, but yeah, that's the only thing your missing out on at the moment so not really significant currently. That, and the constant gunfire and explosions, such a friendly neighbourhood.

Which Weazel Apt are you in?

Im in 101 on both my characters (I think)

I didn't think you can see the pier

Yeah, it's a huge waste of money to spend almost twice as much on an apartment with the exact same interior, unless you're willing to pay an extra 200k for a better view, people should just save their cash for cars, weapons and when/if they add new properties with more garage space and a nicer interior.

go to the second highest apartment in that building and then you can see the pier . i think its apartmant 71 . you have the highest one and that has a view of the other side of the building , had that until i tried apt 71 in the same building

yeah I bought that one after the stimulus thing…I've been spending my money on cars and stuff, so I don't have enough money to move. everyone thinks I'm a hacker now that I live there and I agree it's in a crappy location. you get a great view of…nothing.

I kinda like the 400K one, I did have the 200K one first but I think so many others do to and some love to troll there, wait for people to drive out who are powerless to fight back while they wait for the annimation of them driving out to stop. So I hardly run into people while I drive out of my 400K apartment.

Another thing and this was when I had that apartment. I had Trevors Truck and Merryweather Jeep. BOTH would get caught up on the ceiling as you drive in and out, no doubt because of that ledge. The 400K and a few others don't have that problem.

Maybe it has more to do with Location, I mean the view outside is different.

I bought it because it gives me $200K towards (hopefully) new property down the road that I can't spend. Yes, it's the same as the others, but I'm +81K towards my next house that I probably would've spent on sticky bombs and strippers.

I'm in the 400k apartment and I can truly say that buying it was the worst decision I made. Was just a noob with money so thought the price would mean it was special somehow - completely wrong.

In hindsight, I'd definitely move into Tinsel Towers as it's in the middle of everything - clothes shop, LSC etc.

The only reason I am keeping the Eclipse Tower apartment is that - if there rumours are true - we're soon to be allowed a second apartment, so there's no point trading down now and losing money. I'd like both apartments to have a 10-car garage.

If, however, the second property we will be allowed is a garage, I'm outta there....

I remembered when I first got GTAV and started online. I would save EVERY penny I got just so I could afford the 80k apartment and when I did, I was so disappointed. I finally got going and bought the 400k one and I like it a lot better. There's no point. It's just so you can say you have the 400k appointment, except you get more, obviously. You get what you pay for. A few interactive bits and bobs around (wine, telescope and such) and OFCOURSE the heists room. For real tho, I think the heists room alone will be worth the 400k when the update comes out. :miranda:

The only reason I bought it was because it was the most expensive one,

This!

The same reason people chrome cars, it eases the inferiority complex, even if its totally unpractical

Well I dont know what is unpratical about the apartment or chrome cars for that matter.

I just wonder if people with 10 car garages will need to buy a house for heists. If not, I may be moving to the airport.

Chrome is unpractical because it's the most expensive color and its ugly as sin. the 400K can be considered because it is most expensive with more downfalls than cheaper apts.

I dont own a chrome car so cant really comment on that. I will say that some cars do look nice in chrome though, not all but some.

As for the apartment, I've had it for sometime now and have never found a downfall with it. Then again I hardly spend any time in the apartment.
