Alright cus if it was OW like GTA or RPG like TES then i will say that the first time Namco Bandai are making OWG and not fighting games like their Legendary Fighting Game Franchise,Tekken. What about the Crowd Funding RPG game i cant remember the name, but it looks like it going to Dethrone TES as being the Ruler of the RPG Genre.Anyways i am not into RPGs i am more of an OW and Shooters fan (GTA and TPS FTW). iNero
You mean Kingdom Come I guess. I think it will be a good game, but its a medival game without any fantasy stuff, so TES will still be on top. Unless stay on TESO and wont make another SP Game.

Yeah thanks for making me remember it, yeah it Kingdom Come,it looks stunning, but maybe...just maybe it will give the King of RPG,TES a hard time same with WD to GTA.but anyways i have seen alot of People bash on TESO as of recent, maybe it because of the Price or maybe it because TES is getting a Multiplayer? idk. Davo the Assassin
I am quivering with anticipation and fear at the time I can get my hands on this game. The first one was so horrific yet so satisfying to play. Unfortunately I'm going to have to wait like an entire month until I have the time to play it. ll rdny ll
Hold on. The first game was incredibly open world. So, logically, this one will be too.
iNero
Hold on. The first game was incredibly open world. So, logically, this one will be too. I watched several gameplays and I couldnt see any sign of the game being open world. At least its far from being as open as Fallout, TES or Gothic Games. Booze
It's not as open as those games, but it is one big map with areas that are all inter-connected in clever ways. This really is one of gaming's gems. It's got the balls to be a game, and not mimic a movie so much that basically all the "player" has to do is press a few buttons before the next cutscene begins, like so many modern games. It also doesn't treat you as if you're retarded. I recommend this to anyone that likes action RPG's and doesn't mind being challenged. But at first it really is like learning to appreciate foreign food, you'll have to develop a taste for it.
iNero
well, I cant play these games. The Witcher 2 was already on the limit of my understanding of "open world" Edited March 12, 2014 by iNero
Terrato137
I haven't even played the first Dark Souls. Saw it was like Demons Souls, that game pisses me off.

Bunch of filthy casuls. I'm a little bit frustrated that I still have a month before I get my hands on it, but hopefully by then I'll have the cash for it. It's looking like it'll easily be one of the best games this year. Edited March 13, 2014 by The-King Davo the Assassin

Apart from that, I watched several Videos and gameplay-wise it looks boring for me. Thats my opinion... So Im a filthy casuls now. Dude, grow up... Booze
I've never heard anyone who's ever played Demon's/Dark Souls call it "boring". Most people that stopped playing did so because they gave up. Most people that didn't fell absolutely in love with it. And filthy "casul" is an in-joke among the Souls community, don't take it so personally. RyanBurnsRed
I'm thinking of picking this up on the PC. But I'll wait a few weeks so they can iron out whatever bugs there might be. Was going to get the PS3 version, but I decided to wait. I hope it's worth it. It looks fantastic, and I'm a huge fan of the first game (which I also own on Steam). I heard that it's a lot easier than the first though. I just hope it keeps that same atmosphere the first game had. Davo the Assassin
I've played some of it, feels abit easier than the first. Though that can most likely be put down to the fact that I played the first one. Been playing the first one recently. Beat both Sif and S&O whilst drunk as hell. Had been stuck on both of them for ages, and whilst I'm glad they're behind me, I'm annoyed because I was too drunk to remember it. Beat Seath too on my third blind attempt (not looking at guides or anything). Pretty happy with that.

He's one of the easiest bosses in the game, and I've never died to him. The Four Kings and The Bed of Chaos on the other hand...
Booze
It all depends on your build, really. As for Dark Souls 2 being easier, that depends on if you've played the previous games as a lot of knowledge, skills and the mindset carries over. I did find that there are a lot of "big guy with big weapon"-bosses in this one that are trivial if you're playing a tanky strength build with a greatshield. I really like the game, they've made a lot of changes that increase player build customization, which was already one of the strong points of the original. The levels are more scattered as opposed to the original Dark Souls, where they were all connected, but it allowed them to make them look even more different from each other. Like how it's always sunny in one area and always night with a bright moon in some others. I can't wait for the PC and (hopefully) next gen versions, I think the game is going to look awesome! Cyraxx
I'm on NG+++ with one character and close to NG++ on another I play this game way too much.. EDIT: Oh and I maxed every covenant rank apart from Blood Bros and Blue Sentinels because I don't want to jump through hoops 500 times Edited April 20, 2014 by Cyraxx

I always go for a strength and dex build since it's fun to mow enemies down. I guess that's why Sif is so easy for me. You need a lot of stamina and a good shield. Anyway I liked that the levels were connected in Dark Souls. I spent hours in one area, then I find a shortcut that leads back to an area I've been before, and it just feels like a sense of relief sometimes. I love the lore of New and Anor Londo, as well as Undead Berg. But since there's more area between levels in Dark Souls II, I guess that means more exploration(?) Davo the Assassin
I don't like the whole new fast travel system. Whilst obviously its convenient, it feels... I don't know, perhaps TOO convenient for a Dark Souls game. I mean the amount of the game you had to complete in the first one to even unlock fast travel was a pretty big chunk, and even then it wasn't even that useful. But I guess its needed for the simple fact that everything isn't as connected. Still, whilst I will use and thank for it, still doesn't feel right. Armin_Arlert_104
http://www.polygon.com/2014/11/25/7278217/dark-souls-2-ps4-xbox-one-release-dateAre you guys going to get the remaster? I will if I have the cash after Bloodborne, I still need to run through the DLC. I'm also curious to see the differences in AI.
