What do I do now?

I keep logging onto GTA V but then getting online and realizing I have NOTHING to do. My last big tilt was getting the Decorated trophy and the wind has gone well and truly out of my sails since then, I am trying to get the rally co drive trophy but that is proving frustrating as people wont join a rally game and leave the moment they realise they're in one.

 

 

-I got 2 million for future DLC and events

-Level 122 all weapons

-10 cars...all my favorites, they are going nowhere

-I've mucked around with the tank, the chopper, the dump trump and everything in between.

 

 

There is literally nothing for me at the moment, I need a bigger garage, a better home and another gold trophy to chase. I realize I am in the minority though I've played this game to death lol (happens when you only play one game) and low and behold I am ahead of the curve but subsequently have nothing to do.

 

So question to 120+ people what do you actually do, I like trolling but blowing people's cars up with a tank gets old after 10 minutes, as does repaying the same missions, I'd like more than 2 million so I spam rooftop rumble a bit but gee it's boring :|

steal a jet

take on the military

ham on some peeps with a tank

etc.

If you don't enjoy it, why keep playing? that is the same mentality of the classic COD players... all day every day and swear up and down they hate it.

seriously, Rockstar will catch up eventually... spend the money and upgrade. just my opinion and what I did.... because I waited for GTA and played it for a couple months before finally saying that it's not worth having the 360 for only one game. You will be amazed at how much more exciting the new consoles are when playing even the simplest of games.

I can relate to this but one of the best ways to combat this is to play with friends. Try & meet some in a lobby or find some of your IRL friends to play with.

 

Its great when you're in a tank being carried by a cargobob with one of your mates piloting it.

You could do all the awards (I assume you stopped once you got the achievement), thats what I do when not playing with friends.

 

Playing with friends is another thing that keeps it from getting boring.

 

Recently just platinum'd the Police Mocker award...the get away from like 50 or so 5 stars.

 

Hardest to do are the TDM ones since no one really wants to do them in free aim for the same reason many don't wanna do them in auto aim, they don't wanna fight people who are prepared for them, they wanna ambush people for kills/back up bullet shield cars at people or use tanks.

 

 

Oh and if you want rooftop rumble payouts but want to have fun with a mission do the Lester mission stocks and scares and the trevor mission method in the madness.

 

Leaps and bounds more enjoyable than rooftop rumble but take longer to do.

It's coming out on PS4, what I really want to know is will Rockstar transfer my GTA cars, apartment etc when I buy it on a new console!

all we still know is speculation, and if it comes out for one it will be out for the other. All your GTAO info is saved on the cloud.. so it's really up to rockstar, not the consoles.

Make a second character... I hit level 120 last night and been leveling my second toon. Main toon is a dude. Second is a female. Female toons have a lot more fashion and pretty cool to have both. Currently level 53 but no rush to level her up... make a second character and opposite gender of your main toon. And opposite personality. Having a story makes it fun. Not just RP grinding. Or money grinding. But an actual role playing story...

 

Main character is a former Lost MC prospect who escaped Trevor's rampage... now living the "Lone Wolf" lifestyle. Lone Wolf leather jacket is his favorite. No crew. Just him and his ridiculous mask collection. He's bipolar and thinks Trevor knows he survived. That's why he's always wearing the cupid mask now thinking he's slick and no one can tell it's a mask. Yes he is a chrome freak and often gets high from paint thinner. He's also the gear head and racer. Current garage has the Lost MC Daemon (obviously), Double T, Bifta, Tailgater, Roosevelt, Sandking XL, Z Type, Jester, Turismo, Entity... has a tank, Buzzard, the DLC boat, but no plane yet. Now he just lays low...

 

Second character is a young rich Boston girl but had an abusive father so she ran away from home when she turned 15... trying to become Trevor's new main stripper as a sign of rebellion. Looks up to Jenna Jameson and hopes to be the next super slut of the industry. She's also a gear head but not a racer. She likes to restore classics and loves the lowrider scene... current garage are all freebies but one: Rat Loader, Voodoo, Manana hardtop, Picador, Manana convertible, Peyote convertible, Tornado convertible, Tornado hardtop, Hexer... currently saving up for a Monroe... only a 1000 more lap dances to go. She hates chrome but loves candy paint jobs and primer (matte) paint for the rust buckets. The Manana convertible was from the Vagos, the Tornado hardtop, convertible and Peyote were from the Ballas. She doesn't mess with the Families b/c green reminds her of the craphole she grew up in. She's all about purps and gold... only green she likes is money... so she never refuses cash from Franklin but won't touch him with Michael's pole.

There is 1 thing I've been meaning to do, and that is to get really good with the Lazer jet's automatic cannon. Of course, that would involve stealing a jet from Zancudo every time you log on so you can practice strafing while flying upside down.

I still play all the time with friends. Just doing random stuff. If I get the need for a heist I play payday2! That game is pretty sweet.

Well, I am a rank 122 and also have a garage with my 10 favorite vehicles and every weapon. At this point, money isn't my priority so I've just been doing random sh*t with my friends. Doing stunts is very fun for me. Whether it be taking an ATV off the shed of Chiliad while it's on fire or simply close proximity jumping off of the mountain. Police shootouts are always fun with friends. Some of the ones I got into could last hours and produce great entertainment. One thing that I've been enjoying a lot lately was taking my BMX bike out for rides. I never really noticed how much fun they can be, especially with friends. The other day I got together with a couple of my buddies and we rode them from LS all the way to the top of Mount Chilidad. If you have a crew or a large set of friends that play the game head near Lester's house. There is a square cage where you can host a fight club if you would like. It is awesome.

Seriously man. i see so many people saying this same type of thing. I don't want this to come off as an insult but if you need Rockstar to lead you around by the nose or another player to tell you how to play you are in the wrong type of game...or at minimum, have exausted the literal content and you should just go do something else.

 

GTA is a sandbox. It isn't quite as much sand as something like Star Wars Galaxies or even in the same ballpark as Second Life but it is the same concept. They provide you an emmersive, huge, well made environment with a host of activities to entertain yourself with. They also provide you with abilities to use said entertainment devices in a multitude of ways. On top of that they gave us a creator to make our own entertainment. Certainly, all of these things can be improved upon and expanded but if your not able to find a way to use what is provided to keep yourself busy than Sandbox is not your game genre.

I will say the game game lost some if its luster after hitting Level 120 because there was nothing left to unlock .>>BUT>>>>...there is plenty to do, use the creator make your own content

Rank up your second Character (or in my case i am ranking Character number 1 since i started the game with Character 2)

If using you other Character is a bore..........set up a new online ID, join different crews ...If you have a little imagination you will find all kind of lifer after 120
