how do you build a car for drift? do you cancel armor and put carbon parts to make it lighter or just the opposite? and which upgrades to apply which to not

I'll be making a video about this in the future, the video would just be too long to cover everything to do with drifting. In the future I'll be showing you the best mods but i'll have to put some more research into it to make sure, before I start telling porkies. But one thing I can definitely say is to have full engine mods and turbo for extra wheelspin. Weight and traction is all dependant on armour, suspension and manual lowering which I'll have to look into more.

why is the sultan not mentioned...? Its one of the best cars to drift with as well smh

This is because it falls into the same category as the Elegy, I have mentioned the 4 main vehicles that are completely different to one another, the sultan is very similar to the Elegy.

You guys should make a video showing what you do with the controllers, these techniques are incredibly hard to pull off for some reason for me. Like perfectly going around objects, it's pretty hard.

I will be making a video on In-depth drifting tips in the near future, so I suggest subscribing to my channel to see that when its up. If you look at my trailer video it tells you what else I'll be doing for the series.

I don't put suspension on my drift car, because it gives it more traction.

You forgot the intruder. Fully nodded it's great. You have to try it.

Try out the Prairie compact. You may have to play with the vehicle upgrades to get it perfect though.

You can't drift any car in GTA.

This whole thread was a waste of time(as usual here.)

So far my favorite car to drift has been the Dominator. I've got a little route on top of the parking lot next to the tennis courts in Richman where i test out cars.

Cars i still want to test out are:

Schwartzer

Surano

Penumbra

9F

I have tried the Intruder, but I don't personally think its that great, however it is on my list.

The Prairie is a FWD, I imagine it will be okay for 'skidding' but technically it can't drift because its FWD.

I will be making an in depth tutorial on how to drift in the near future so stay tuned for that, I will leave a link in this post and PM you when it's out.

Isn't this a van? I'll make sure to try it out however, I know you can't add turbo so I can't imagine the wheels beign able to spin too much

You can drift with almost any car in GTA.

This whole thread was a waste of time(as usual here.)

Fixed...also the Elegy is not so good for Drift...IMO: 9F, Futo, Jester, Feltzer, Sentinel, Jackal, phoenix, Comet.

You are the one that needs to be fixed.

Drifting is a recently invented sport with rules and an objective.

What you are doing is simply putting the car sideways which people have been doing since the model A and is in no way drifting.

Again, spinning donuts and power sliding around turns is not drifting.

Dominator is the best at drifting in the game but no one has come to realize that yet

You have Elegy on the list, but not a Vacca? This list is just fail.

Like I said, I'll be testing out other cars that people mention and be adding them to my list, I tried to get through as many cars as I could when the modders where dishing out money but I left the supercars to last as I don't like them too much and by then it was too late, I have owned one but not modded, if anyone could lend me one that would be great. XBL GT: TitaniumDurante

The Dominator is great at drifting but then again it doesn't have many unique attributes, the video and thread was to show the drifters that are completely different from one another. However, you can see my friend drifting in a dominator in this video and I have a great picture of him drifting in the dirt here:

So many things you got wrong. Not even going to bother correcting you.

Yeah i didn't like any of them. Dominator is still my favorite.

I don't understand how you can like the Banshee so much. I tried it and it does drift pretty well, but it all feels a little too controlled for me. From what i found with the Banshee it's almost impossible to drift and then change direction by 90 degrees while continuing to drift at low speeds. I just couldn't get the back to come around in the same amount of space as i can in the Dominator.

Banshee just had too much grip for my liking in certain situations.

A car i think would be good for drifting and has very unique attributes is the Comet. I tried it a little but it's a very difficult car to master, very loose rear end with what i think is slightly too much acceleration.

There is a certain trick to drifting the banshee, you need to get it to downshift and create alot of wheelspin, I have made a video tutorial on this. Although it only shows me doing it in a straight line you can use the same technique for drifting, here's the video:

It's... lol

Anyway, my only view on drifting in GTA is that it's a crying shame that LSC doesn't sell LSD's. Then maybe we could actually, drift, as opposed to some seriously out of place looking slides.

Oh yeah i know how to downshift, i use that technique when i drift. But i tested a lot of cars out yesterday on a track that has a right, followed by a right, then an instant left. It's pretty difficult and i only managed to stay drifting the entire time maybe two or three times. But with the Banshee i would downshift in to the first turn, slide around, then by the end of the first turn i was still in first gear with not enough RPM to get the wheels spinning in time for the next right and it would just turn without breaking the back out no matter what i did.

Maybe i was being unfair to the Banshee in my track choice, it was a track that required low speeds and constant throttle management and i suspect the Banshee may be more suited to a high speed drift.
