Its only GTA Online! Not Story mode....

Cars bought prior to patch 1.08 are now sellable. Doubt it would be because of this though. Maybe reboot / join a different session.

 

Was this a legitimately bought entity or procured through alternate methods?

Just so everyone knows as well, if you rearrange your garage, and most people know how to do it. The downside to it is you have to repurchase the insurance for every car you move, and you won't be able to sell it. R* put something in the coding, to try and stop the sale of dupes. But when you reinsure a car you already purchased, it sets off a red flag, and you won't be able to sell it from that point on.
