Oracle XS highest top speed 4 door?

Recommended Posts

So i stole one the other day in MP and was shocked at the top end speed (i would have kept it but i got sticky bombed)..So i brought one in from SP and when i took it to LSC i noticed the top speed bar was higher than what it shows at the social club page..I never see anyone mention it and it may possibly have the highest top speed in the coupe/sedan classes and its a 4 door

I'd also say the Sultan is faster, but the Oracle XS handles better.

The sultans handling is what makes it great.... Not its top speed

yea i agree..i think sultan handles a little better

HopalongCasidy

The Schafter is supremely fast and in 10 races at the airport smoked an evenly leveled oracle by over a car length 8 times. Its also cleaner with the handling. That was our finding in game , rubber on road.

I am searching for the shafter now. Imma have to get rid of my tailgater, but it is tops amongst sedans, imo.

Does it drive anyone else crazy the number of four passenger vehicles that are described as coupes?

Exemplar is the fastest four door car in GTA5. Oracle, Schafter, Sultan, Fugitive etc come close but Exemplar has that little extra oomph.

according to the actual stats thats not correct..i took both the Exemplar and Oracle XS to LSC, the exemplar doesnt quite fill 4 bars..The oracle XS not only has 4 full bars, it also has a sliver of the 5th...When you bring both to LSC you will see a significant difference in the listed top speed

Sultan is the fastest 4 door when pushed to the limit. Limit being other then going in a straight line.

It may or may not have the highest top speed of all four doors. But that does't matter since Sultans can move through turns faster.

because its a rally car....it has better handling, but its like driving a matchbox car..It's tiny and when someone ram's it, your done....

The sultan has probably some of the best traction in the game. For me, getting rammed in public races while driving a sultan is quite fun because of that. Its small, which gives less play for pits/rams and it sticks to the ground most of the time.

The AWD allows it to snap back fairly quick and its also easy to counter ram/pit player in Sultans. Sultans, if you lay off the gas, it gets its traction back really fast. In most cars, once traction is gone, you need to regain it. Sultans you kind of just have to lay off for a second and you are back on track. Which is pretty useful at taking turns really high speeds and taking hits.

But to each their own.

I would say the Shafter for looks. mods, speed and handling.

Traded my schafter in for a Washington, no joke, like it alot better for Sedan class.

I like the Oracle, would have one for Coupe class but the F620 is just too damn fine to pass up on.

Those stats don't seem to mean much - I tested all the coupe's on Route 68, which is predominantly a top speed track. The Oracle was middle of the pack at best. Exemplar fastest, then Zion, then Ocelot F620. In comparison the Adder is the fastest super around that track followed by the Turismo and Entity which are pretty much tied. The sedans are all slower than pretty much all of the coupes.

That's pretty much a top speed track tho.

There are some tracks that the other cars would rank higher on.

ALot of people hold Cutting Coroners in high esteem for vehicle testing because of it's corners and straight sections.

I've been grinding Lost and Found and I find it to be a good test track. It has more straight long sections than corners but there are some nice sharp corners and I find the majority of GTA races are like this instead of technical drift fests.

Vespucci dreams is another good test track imo.

Don't look at the stats. I've proved them wrong on several occasions. I don't know why the "visual" information is inaccurate or maybe it is and the combination of set-up and numbers create something magical. The funny thing is people read it and immediately start making claims without taking them out and then they start losing and saying someone must be "cheating".

The trick is drive them on a track against other players. Pick an Exemplar and your friend an Oracle, etc. The Exemplar is very sneaky about its power too. It doesn't feel that much faster, but put against cars that should be beating it it passes with ease. The trick is getting used to the handling and getting the tires firmly planted. So instead of letting it jump, pick a smoother line and use a little more braking. Get that energy to the ground and she'll move.

If I had my numbers in front of my I could tell you how it stacks up against the Buffalo (Sport) and Sultan (Sport).

The problem with that is consistency. If you race Cutting the "fastest" with one car and then race slower with another then you're testing "your" ability to handle that track, so if the car isn't an easy corner car and you need a car that's easier to handle then you may not get the same results.

Route 68 on the other hand is exceptional at baseline stats because you can keep the hammer down and you'll tend to take the same line over and over so skill will not be taken into account. Again, these are "baseline" stats. If you add in figures like your time to the bridge to get an idea of pick up which is where the car will excel in heavy corner tracks you'll see where your best opportunity car is to narrow down your testing.

Route 68 will also gauge decel, so when a car turns a little it tends to lose speed versus holding a straight line, which is why Jimrod there thinks the Turismo and Entity do the same time. That's because he's a wanderer on the track, which brings me to my next point.

The ultimate goal here obviously isn't to find the "fastest" car because the fastest car may not be the best car for you. The trick is to find the car that works with your strength and weaknesses. Ultimately that goal will be determined in a room full of players who all want to win and will do anything to make that happen. You're never going to be able to test for driving through 4 or 5 crashed cars or holding up against some idiot that thinks he can pit maneuver you. All your personal tests will just give you the advantage when you do get an opportunity to show up at the track.

Yeah, that was sort of my point though - the Oracle has better stats than most and in particular top speed, so in theory it would be the best coupe on that track but it was at least 4th when I tested it (I can't remember exactly outside top 3, I do use Cutting Coroners for overall performance testing but this was based on the top speed stat for which Route 68 is as good as any, as indicated by the Adder having my best solo time due to top speed - around 1m52.2secs).

I haven't tested the Turismo and Entity directly on Route 68 as I no longer had an Entity on my main but did have a Turismo, the time I got with the Turismo was in the same ballpark as the Entity, not as fast as the Adder but faster than the other supers, I can't remember my exact times for anything but the Adder though as it was a while back. I usually go by the last marker before the finish line as my gauge because I tend to let the timer run to 4 mins for max RP. The Turismo gets to that around 1m53secs for me (fully modded), which was close to the Entity and they are close on every track I've raced them on.

I don't "wander" too much if I can help it and try to stick to the correct lines - all my Route 68 times are usually within 0.5 secs either way for any particular car no matter how often I run it as I've done it probably hundreds of times by now. I was 79th in the World last time I checked times for Cutting Coroners so I'm reasonably competent.

I'll run it a few times later on the Entity and the Turismo to see how they do when I'm trying for times - Initially I still preferred the Entity on Coroners but now have swayed to the Turismo, but then I also like the snappy Carbonizarre over the Elegy/Feltzer. As you say tough - in a real race it's all different, the Turismo is light and easily knocked about and shifts a lot over bumps (I've reverted to standard suspension because of it) where the Entity is heavier and 4x4. Oddly my Vacca seemed to have Entity's and Adders spin out trying to pit it more often than not! :)
