El Dildo
I kind of like the way this looks. but I'm also just so tired of WW2 that it makes me sick. it's been beaten to death. iNero
Im more bored by the modern military shooters. Market is flooded with them since CoD4. My only hope for some fresh stuff is Homefront 2 from Crytek. Some WW2 is at least something.

Creed Bratton
I like WW2 shooters. There are so many real events, real battles from WW2 that never made it into the realm of video games. Like this one. I like the idea. Th3MaN1

Th3MaN1
Gotta see if this gets banned in germany or if they cut the symbols. Rather censor it than ban it. Also, watched some of the gameplay; the guy said that having infinite enemies respawn in front of you is not fun; I guess that means the guys know what they're doing. Thank god. They also said they'll bring the dynamic destruction to the max on the PC version, they will push it as far as the engine allows.
Daz
I have to say I am a little disappointed to be honest. I had this idea in my head ever since next gen consoles have come out, that I would really love games to go back to basics and get the feel that we once did from early games of a new console. Just like what Call of Duty 2 did for the 360 and Medal of Honor for PS2. Sadly this doesn't seem to be what I am looking for. I was hoping for a more realistic and authentic representation of battles, but not only that, but more of a respect and a storytelling aspect that is not at all glorified in any way. This game sadly looks like just a generic shooter with only WW2 as a backdrop. I really dislike the arcade feel from the gameplay video, giant button prompts and your character constantly barking out one-liners as if he is a Duke Nukem super soldier in WW2. I don't quite know what they were trying to create from this game, especially seeing the first trailer. I would have loved to have played almost ANYTHING military based set during WW2, there is a LOT of options for that. There were pretty much battles f*cking everywhere. But it seems like we are going to still have to be a US Soldier killing everything in his path. I would have loved to play as any other country other than the US at least. I really enjoyed the British campaign from Call of Duty 2, or as a Russian soldier. But playing as a Polish soldier or even as a Finnish resistance soldier creating molotov cocktails would have been perfect. When it comes to games set with a historical theme, I always feel accuracy and realism is always the way to go, especially when it is something set at such an important time in human history. The problem is games are just made for the masses, and the masses want easy to play games that they can pick up and have fun with and not concern themselves with historical accuracy or learning anything. Why not just make up your own backdrop instead of pissing over WW2. It is games like these that kill the WW2 genre. The game might actually end up fun, who knows. But I don't think it is healthy for games like this to exist. I just hope to god someone makes a really amazing not over the top WW2 game that actually is worth creating. Just my thoughts on this. Creed Bratton
Well f*ck me. Next time I should watch the gameplay video instead of reading the synopsis and watching screenshots. Yeah, it looks rather generic. And the fact that the main character is an American soldier makes it even more generic. I think I'm gonna reinstall CoD 1 instead. And is that Nolan North? FullMetal
LISTEN UP f*ckING DEVELOPERS: EVER PLAYED VANILLA COD/UNITED OFFENSIVE? EVER PLAYED f*ckING WOLFENSTEIN ENEMY TERRITORY (YES IM TALKING BOUT THAT FREE ASS GAME THAT WAS f*ckING EPIC) EVER PLAYED BATTLEFIELD? Then f*ckING go out there and make a f*cking decent WW2 game for f*ckS SAKE!!!! Seriously. Class based gameplay the likes of Enemy Territory, huge maps and destructability from Battlefield (f*ck it just use frostbite engine) and the goddamn feel of weapons from VCOD (especially bolt action rifles... they really felt great). And STOP f*cking up sh*t. We don't need goddamn gay ass attachements like red dot lookalikes or some sh*t. WW2 has enough to offer to make something great. Just look at all the good old FPS games that have proven is (the ones I mentioned). This looks ''fun". As much "fun" as Call of Duty is nowadays... And I'm in with Daz on this one... Polish soldiers contributed a f*ckTON to WW2 battles. They basically liberated a big part of Southern Europe and actually were the only succesful ones during Market Garden eventho the British blamed them for "failing" it. Same with the Finnish... I mean they're f*cking badasses, end of story. Just look at the unique missions and open world approaches you could do with the Entire Finnish-Russian war for f*cks sake! Developers and publishers tend to be f*cking ignorant retarded sh*t for brains when it comes to game concepts for FPS games (especially when they're from historical conflicts). FullMetal
Harr harr, I for one am sick of mediocre game projects that get fapped on by 12 year old console fanboys who think the PWETTY GRAPHICS make an awesome FPS game. After the massive decline in quality of Call of Duty games/the franchise itself people still seem to think that way. And go f*ck yourselves tho. It's not because you don't know what kind of jewels of gaming I'm talking about that you need to tell me to calm down or anything. I call you guys ignorant twats for all I care but I'd be probably the one who gets a 'warning' for it or whatever. Anyways... this looked interesting. But then again when you actually take a good look/realise how hollow the whole experience is going to be well... f*ck that. Daz

So I wont even try to argue. CoD is bullsh*t and at this point the most boring FPS on the market. BF goes the same line atm. FullMetal
This mad? This is making a point. Being fed up with so called 'tripple A' developers being praised for bringing out garbage. And I was as much instulting towards others that 'you guys' were to me. So please... Battlefield is still good. Dice is still a great developer. EA on the other hand tends to ruin certain franchises and do great things to others... Daz

I couldn't agree more with his comments. Usually what happens is someone gets offended or annoyed by mine or his opinion and takes it personal, I only ever get annoyed at the subject at hand, not individuals. Maybe a bit too colorful for the setting. But this is like an Alpha Version, so they still can change it till release, if they havent already. Daz
Well I hope they change it a little more. I guess in the end it could be a guilty pleasure, if the gameplay is good or offers a co-op mode. But just based off the shooting mechanics I have seen, it seems a little sloppy. I hate having to get all specific and technical when it comes to weapons, but really this is the main focus of the game. If there are weapons that are modeled inaccurately or soldiers are holding them the wrong way, I notice it. If there was more of a realistic damage system, less shots to kill people, I think that would leave room open for other weapons such as bolt action rifles and pistols to be used more frequently. The game needs an innovation in some form to stand out. Currently I don't see that. Th3MaN1

GunWrath
There wasn't a big selection of weapons during the first World War that would excite me enough to play honestly or atleast play multiplayer. Mainly bolt-actions and mounted machine guns.. that wouldn't make an exciting game honestly. Back then, it would take 4-6 men to operate one of the machine guns. So it's not like we could run around like Basilone and mow 'em down on our own. Though I do like the idea of a game surrounding trench warfare though. Be cool to fight your way through trenches but other than that, it's just open warfare, with open fields and staggering rates of death. Wouldn't be too fun or keep us excited to keep playing.. I think that's why they haven't really ever made or released such games. As far as this game, it reminds me of Far Cry and MOH in one. Not sure how to feel about it..
