Tanks worth the money?

If you are attacked by tanks a lot, then get one for self-defense.

 

If you like going on 5 star murder sprees, then get one to make it slightly easier.

 

If you like having a full on war with others, then get one for the... well tankiness of it.

 

If you like abusing your power, then fk off.

I bought one with the gifted money, about 3 months ago.........So far i have found no need for it, I haven't been on a mission where it would even be helpful, .....the only thing i found it good for was going to war against the cops....but that gets boring after you do it once......so mine is a rust bucket sitting somewhere ...

 

If you are looking to buy a vehicle that can come in handy for missions ect...Buy the Buzzard ....you wont really need it for 99.9% of the missions, but at least it can be used and landed at drop off points...without taking forever to get there.....I used the tank once on Roof Top Rumble ....the time i used it to drive to Martins house, i could have played that mission several times

 

If your a Griever who wants to get as close to being in GOD Mode as you can without cheating......then i guess you can say its worth it

Bought mine months ago, only used it 3-4 times to get revenge on griefers/ other tank trolls. For best effect please see below.

 

Directions of Use:

1. Identify tank troll in your vicinity

2. Call in your tank and retrieve it

3. Go off radar 30s before coming into view of tank troll and flank around behind them

4. Shoot at tank, repeat as necessary

5. Continue to dish out sweet, sweet revenge on ex-tank troll while you spawn kill them until they leave/you get bored.

6. Laugh, alot

Get a buzzard. More entertaining, fun to fly, MUCH faster.

Tanks are slow as sh*t and get boring after a while. Plus you can't outrun police in it. Buzzard is awesome, and particularly good to save up for at lower levels to make missions much easier to rank up with.

it's worth it if you have extra money ... I'll buy one because i'm tired of these noskill noobs who come back with a tank because you kill them xx time and can't kill you with regular weapons because they f* suck, usually i just snipe the tank driver but now it's not working anymore i guess the only option is tank vs tank

I'm in the same position, been saving for a while got to that 1.5 mil mark and then brought a Gaunlet then a Jester as it was new (Waste of cash IMO), back up to that 1.5 mil mark but just don't think i will bother..
It is a tempting thing when i've been in freeroam and tank boy is giving it large, but then i usually just enter a quick race and don't let it/them bother me..

The way i see it is sooner or later R* are actually going to release some DLC that is actually really good and cost $$$$$$, so in patient waiting of that glorious day, no tank for me.. i'm saving my cash

I used to tank, then I started sniping. Now that sniping has been patched, I'm going back to tanking.

No. My Turismo got blown up by a twanker earlier on tonight and I had to pay for it.

Get a Buzzard. It's basically a flying mini tank and you can kill the ground tanks with it pretty well.

I caved a little while ago. Another twanker crossed paths with me and killed me. Fair 'nough, into passive mode I go and return to what I was doing. See that he has started spawn killing some other folks though, so I give him a little bit of his own medicine. Killed him about eight times before getting bored and moving on.

 

In that moment, it was totally worth it. Still feel a little dirty though.

love spawning kids for a good 30 minutes everyday in my tank. they're too stupid to enter passive mode and if they do i run them over. well worth the purchase.
