Win/lose ratio, does it matter?

I went into a race last night when someones bragging around like "i got 94 wins under my belt, you cant beat me" *ends up pitting everyone in sight* (no wonder how he won) but anyway once you've unlocked everything for your car does it actually matter then how much times youve won/lost?

Does he want a medal or something?.. Haha..

And no it doesn't matter.

I don't really care about win/lose ratios or even my K/D, but whatever comes naturally comes naturally. It doesn't affect anyone except myself and it hardly does even that. It just makes me try to win a bit harder just to maintain my win/lose ratio.

Funnily enough I do care about my win/loss ratio, but not my kill/death ratio

Not really. W/L can be gamed so many different ways as to make it less than 100% credible. I'm more impressed with total races and total time spent racing. It's a shame they don't record more detailed race statistics, but oh well.

Agreed.. It only "matters" if it's legitimately gained.

It's only legit if you don't PIT or Quit. 9 out of 10 "randoms" i see with a decent record(50% win percentage), do both. They are a joke, and i usually send them a PSN message letting them know exactly that, immediately afterwards..

949-599; is my current legitimate record(over two accounts), and i am usually racing quality players/racers too(if it "matters" to you).

GTA RACE announcements begin with this sentence:

"Like to cheat?"

So I don't know why asswipes who Pitt everyone even play regular races. If you need to cheat to win, perhaps you should go where cheating is not frowned upon.

Yes. But not to a point where I will pit those that are faster than me.

570 W 320 L

that would be quite impressive if it was true

It doesn't to me on FPS, but I can see why people that play more seriously care... But in gta?? Hell no!

It would make Free roam a no go if you did care, that or Free roam would just be seen as a game mode called "defend your K/D or gtfo"

in GTA all a high K/D tells me is that the person is an asshole that camps with a tank and/or inside peoples garages in Free roam....

It doent really matter but i like to see the good stats, ive been since 100 races with apex stalkers now had win 70 lose 30 something like that before i joined the crew. I race with quality racers, and very competative racers also.

I also testing out new race tracks, and testing out cars in drag races. Maybe all that is like 30 loss that can be taked of the 339 losses in total.

But i like to see good stats, does it say anything. Idk depends what your racing against. If you race low quality racers then i think no. When you race skilled racers then i think it can mean something. But not that much.

My racing stats as of right now:

Win 886 - lose 339

I always try to avoid them and after some corners I can usually pull away. If I get behind them I just lie behind until they make a mistake, they always do. Edited by snilsson

Last time I checked, I had 105 wins motherfu-

... that's just awful.

This is GTA. Nobody cares about your Win/Lose or Kill/Death ratio.

It used to better, it's not as easy to win when you're in a racing crew were everyone is really good. But it so much more fun with a close clean race even if i loose.

Personally wins/loses mean very little to me.. As well as K/D ratio.

I lost alot of races.. But i've also let alot of people win. And have let alot of friends race with my account too.

Same with my KD ratio. I always let friends go crazy in free roam and they just die non stop for an hour.

I think the real racers only care about their current race they are racing in anyways.

Theres only a few racers out there with some serious records. And non of them would brag about 90 wins.

The only reason K/D ratio exists is to help people make better informed decisions when deciding whether or not they should approach you.

If someone has a high K/D, chances are you will be picked off rather quickly. If someone has a terrible K/D, you could probably toy with them extensively.

Other than that, there's no point to it.

Deadly Aviator

Well it seems to be bad for me to have a high W/L (102W, 86L atm) in racing since if I bet $2500 and win, I only get $700, so If I bet all the time I would have to win 4 times just to make up for 1 loss -.-

I have kept my win loss positive since October so whenever I lose a race I just race again to get a win.

Winning matters. You win no matter what.

That said, people SAY it doesn't matter, but most people THINK it matters. Personally I'd opt to remove KDR and WLR but I can definitely see e-peen dudes raging about it.

If you're petty and care about that sort of irrelevant sh*t, yes, yes it does.

Aren't the betting odds based on your win/loss ratio?

If not, what are they based on?

You can cheat it by betting %100 on yourself.

There was a thread devoted on this a little while ago that allowed you to come in 4th and make more money than the guy in first.
