Blips: Any one fully know how these work?

I always assume blips only showed in TDM / DM modes if players shot or ran around, but then occasionally they appear to all be showing, I also thought silencers would prevent them from showing, but this is also not the case.

 

Anyone have a good idea how exactly the blips work in this game?

 

I miss the options you could change for blips in IV.

If the game sees that your character is on another's screen (It could be just the tip of your head) then it will make you visible

 

If you walk under someone who may be on a roof above you, the sound will alert the game and make you visible (sneak to avoid this)

 

If you shoot an unsuppressed gun or blow a vehicle up (Even if you're over the other side of the map) you will be shown on the radar

 

If you drive a vehicle within about a 100-500m radius of a person, the engine sound will make you visible. (Can be avoided if you drive a Dilletante/Voltic/Surge)

Thanks mate, so if you drive an electric car in a TDM, your blip doesn't show unless you shoot obviously?
