95% watch it because it's a stupid fad. I have friends who stopped watching it and admit they watched it only to be part of the group.

 

Hence the term, brony. It's terrible.

They don't watch the show because they like the show itself. OP might, I don't know, but I'm judging OP since 95% don't actually like the show itself.

Well, I personally like the show. I think it's well written and has some great jokes, themes, and messages in it.
