What would you consider the perfect game to you? For me it would be a game with:

Crysis graphics

Splinter cell stealth

Forza driving

Sleeping dogs melee combat

Max payne shooting mechanics

Just cause map size

Gta's map detail

Strong story & characters like Tlou

Skyrim's never ending side missions

Gta's humour

Bf4 destruction

What would your perfect game be like?

Red Dead Redemption

Or Portal.

Depends on how I'm feeling, but those games are the definition of Video Game Perfection.

Alot zombies

alot guns

alot ammo

gun upgrades ( infinite as long as u got enough points )

coop

unlimited zombie rounds

perfect map design

only real zombies

random pickups

random weapon box

4 original perk machines

So basicly call of duty zombies but then 9999999times better ( especially after bo, who want big ass map + 99types of zombies?, mainstream sh*t ).

Existing perfect games are mortal kombat 2 and soldier of fortune 1, perfect map is dust 2.

Baldur's Gate II and the Sims combined, basically a fantastic storyline with quests and a solid D&D RPG-based character (not D&D combat) with basically all features from the Sims. All dialogues voiced ofcourse, non of that sims-language bullsh*t.

And this game should be set in an open world four times the size of Skyrim in medieval times and there have to be battles of 300+ men, such as in Mount and Blade.

Yeah, that would be cool.

Oh and you can time travel to the same world, but then in 2044 and it would feel more like GTA.

GTA IV with some updates, like countryside, a lot more music, updated cover system, more weapons, slightly changed car handling, tuning, car parts falling off that aren't doors and hoods/bonnets, all SA cheats, more weapons, and a lot of other stuff.

OP: My dream game is very similar to yours, and it probably wouldn't work until the 9th or 10th gen, and sadly by then, games will be underrated just for having lots of gameplay.

  • Doesn't sacrifice gameplay for story.
  • Open world.
  • Map size comparable to Just Cause 2.
  • Detail comparable to GTA V.
  • Amount of interiors comparable to Red Dead Redemption.
  • Anything is a weapon (to appropriate limits of course).
  • Anything is a vehicle (to appropriate limits of course).
  • Shooting mechanics comparable to Mafia II.
  • Climbing comparable to Assassin's Creed.
  • Melee combat comparable to Sleeping Dogs.
  • Driving physics comparable to Gran Turimso.
  • Realistic flight physics.
  • Destruction comparable to Battlefield 4.
  • Humour comparable to Saints Row 2.
  • Character customisation comparable to Saints Row 2.
  • Safehouse customisation comparable to The Sims 3.
  • Vehicle customisation comparable to Midnight Club Los Angeles, and every vehicle would be customisable, from a skateboard to a bus.
  • Stealth comparable to the original Splinter Cell Trilogy, with a disguise system comparable to Hitman.

Switch the shooting mechanics from Mafia II to Max Payne 3, and there's my perfect game.

Now combined into an Openworld Game and then it will be Up there with GTA3 and DOOM.I am sure GTA will do these,it always do alot of things first.

OP:hmm i cant think of what will make a Perfect Game but imo GTA 5 is a Masterpiece and it cant be Perfect infact no-game can be Perfect even though V and TLoU got Perfect 10s around the World by Reviewers, but they still have their flaws and i am sure Redx will agree with me that TLoU had some flaws too.I think we wont see Perfect game until Next-Next-Next-Gen of Consoles.

I don't think sometime there will be a perfect game. Not even in the future or patches and updates.

Visual-wise it's sh*t, you have to admit. A perfect game needs to be flawless in every aspect.

Grand Theft Auto and Skate.

Not the perfect game, but one that would be very awesome.

GTA mixed with Skyrim. No, not in terms of environment or characters, but more in terms of story. I'd like to see a GTA game with branching story - one main 'quest' and countless 'side-quests'. That would be amazing.

Oh, and I'm not a person who puts graphics before everything else, so yeah, graphics of SA should work on that one.

I meant more like a huge city to explore on foot, car or being able to skate just like in Skate. with the same physics/controls.

But yeah you could do that too.

Big open tropical mixed with city sci-fi world, you can make your own character but they're animal mixed human type things (street sharks, extreme dinosaurs & and other stuff like bears, tigers & normal cats) theres future type stuff like jetpacks, laser swords & laser guns & Hoverboards and normal stuff like now. very colourful. lots of violence, blood and gore, for the story you go around solving mysteries and crime for money without being killed or caught by the police. and the controls are similar to Max Payne 3.

Something like a mix between The Sims and Grand Theft Auto, with a more realistic social system.

It'd play a lot like GTA, except alongside committing crimes for cash you could also get a legitimate job, and build relationships with any pedestrian in the game (I don't know how character data works, but I imagine saving the profiles of only those you talk to, and then having preset profiles for everyone you haven't would save a lot of space.) You'd also be able to permanently kill anyone in the game, but they'd be replaced by a new pedestrian each time, so the world would never be empty (although certain areas might become sparse if you killed lots of people in that area, placement is mostly random.) Every NPC in the game would have a job, schedule, and a certain group of pedestrians they'd be more likely to interact with.

The jobs would be a quick fade-out-fade-in, kinda like when you eat with friends in GTA, and job performance is determined by punctuality and what you wear to work. Days would be 48 minutes long in real time (minus job time and sleep time, which isn't actively played). Every building would have an interior, but many would be shared interiors, like in San Andreas. There would also be a functioning economy and political system. The economy would be difficult to control, but there would be random pedestrians who are connected to certain businesses that you could 'accidentally' kill. The political system would draw up random NPCs every once in a while who try to present propositions to the local government, and you could sabotage their campaign by wreaking havoc in areas with voters they're supported by, by going around and knocking over their signs, or just by voting against them in the ballot. Policy could change something minor, like the number of people riding bikes around town, or something important, like the number of pedestrians carrying guns. There wouldn't be any real missions or goals, they're all assigned to the player by the player.

Basically the Sims and GTA with politics.

'course I doubt we'll be seeing anything like that for a few more generations. :/

Lol that what i said,Cool idea bro...GTA and The Sims will give birth to a Perfect Baby :) but man i cant see that happen with E.A owning The Sims and Rockstar owning GTA (and both cmpanies hate each other esp. E.A hoping for a day that they will eventually buy GTA IP Rights, and that wont happen as long as Rockstar still exist).

Simcity, GTA, the Sims, Minecraft, and the Elder Scrolls combined into one huge game, which would pretty much allow you to construct your worlds with endless possibilities and live your life how you want.

They may own their rights to their respected game, but they don't own the right on the idea. Rockstar could easily implement everything the Sims has to offer and it still will be a GTA game. EA on the other hand, would still probably be a Sims game lol

GTA style game with Sims mixed in with Simcity/Project Spark to make your own city, maybe some Need for Speed.

Themes:

-A co-op Action RPG set in the Vietnam War starting as a downed recon pilot who escapes life as a POW and gathers resources with other escaped POW's to take over the region.

-A Miami Vice styled, 80s action co-op shooter all about self aware cheese and references to 80s movies, tv and pop culture, being very over the top and slapstick, including driving sections in a city as well as clearing out mansions full of badly dressed goons with awful haircuts.

-A 70's police shooter similar to the above idea essentially being a Dirty Harry styled game, only with true to the era detailing and staying away from clichés like everyone having an afro. More of a Argo feel of authenticity.

-A historic military game letting you re-live important battles, big or small over a large span of time from the 1800s to present. Focusing on less well known battles, as well as some favorites such as the Bravo Two Zero patrol in the Gulf War as well as the Iranian Embassy Seige and Operation Gothic Serpent.

Engine & Physics:

Any of the below

Unreal Engine (Exact copy of what Rainbow Six: Vegas uses)

Source Engine

And maybe Frostbite Engine visual effects.

A game developed by Rockstar games (Gameplay), Telltale (story), Naughty Dog (story), Ubisoft (gameplay) and Avalance studios. (Map detail and size and some gameplay elements)

GTA V like marketing

Rockstar games like trailers, previews, screenshots etc.

A deep compelling story made by Telltale and Naughty Dog.

In-depth gameplay with a blend of realism and fun made by Ubisoft, Rockstar and Avalanche studios.

Fallout 3 like exploration.

Far Cry 3/Fallout 3 like atmosphere.

GTA: SA like mission variety.

Just cause 2 like map.

The map feels even more huge like GTA:SA i.e. lesser draw distance.

Light RPG elements similar to Far Cry 3.

Three modes for the game: Easy, medium and hard. Changing the difficulty also has an effect on the body damage and handling. Hard players will experience realistic handling and damage, normal players will feature a blend of both and Easy players will feature arcadey style handling and damage.

Level of fun similar to the 3D Era GTA's/Just cause 2.

Grapple hook and Parachute.

GTA IV Pedestrian detail.

The ability to not only customize but create your own car.

Flappy Bird level addictiveness.

Choices that affect the story similar to the older Fallouts.

Stealth comparable to the older Hitman games.

Gun fights similar to Max Payne 3.

Voice acting similar to GTA/Far Cry 3.

Sleeping Dogs like melee combat.

Assassins Creed like climbing.

Nearly everything in the world can be customized, from safehouses to buses to dogs to bikes etc.

Flight physics similar to Flight Simulator.

Crysis like graphics

Anything in the environment can be destroyed.

GTA-Like humor.

Minecraft like creativity.

No DLC's the game is 100% complete before release.

A simple but addictive online mode. No features are sacrificed for multiplayer.

Extras: The game wins all GOTY Awards so that redx does not complain about anything.

My perfect game.
