Actually a few of us figured this out. Your talking about a instancing issue, which is solved by "placing it on the sidewalk in front of the property, and not directly on the property" cheers!

 

 

No, I'm talking about ten people pulling up and living in a single mansion at the same time. What part of that makes any sense at all? It works in the apartments and condos because they have multi level parking and, surprise, surprise, multi level living spaces.

 

Why won't mansions be added: because it is not realistic.

 

Dude give it a rest!!! Posting the same response over and over won't make your point more valid! The rest of the community with an imagination and has given you multiple ways to deal with your immersion issues.

 

 

Ha! I never thought of that happening! But then, I'm nearly always in a private server with friends, most of which have picked a different place to live than I did. I suppose it could be problematic but then, is there anyone left with enough money to buy a mansion!? If they price it at something like $3,500,000 then it'd take a fair while to get that kinda cash for most non-cheating players. Or, it would sell a few high-end Shark Cards ; )

Simple solution to the mansion/player numbers issue - firstly, price them way out of the reach of the peasants.

Secondly, when there's a property clash, use any of the motels/hotels etc in the map as spawn point and have the player spawn as a guest at a hotel - with a suite that's equivalent in status to their actual property..

 

Chances are, you're not going to have every player hgaving the same property on the server at the same time - specially if you have a wide range of mansions etc created..

 

downside - can you really see R* being arsed to create all these interiors?!?!

I have other player's cars pulling into "my" garage as I leave fairly often - how is that any different to "sharing" a mansion? I don't think we'll get mansions but not because of some logical issue as all properties suffer from that

Yeah, this is why mansions won't be in Online.

And no, you can't be the only one to own it. There are like a billion players, you can't be the only one to own that mansion. (as I see people post that a lot, sick of sharing apartments.)
