WHy the big deal over Franklin's Buffalo?

What am I missing here?

For months, all I've heard about is "yeah, I got Franklin's Buffalo online," as though it's a big deal.

I decided to port one over, myself, to see what the hubbub was about.

It sold for $3400... I was expecting much more.

So, can someone explain to me why Franklin's Buffalo is of such interest around here?

Thanks!

It's because to many, it's a really nice looking car, and it's inability to be purchased/stolen online gives it a high demand

sure there's the generic NPC counterpart, but it just doesn't compare, as like I said, it's generic and kinda boring looking.

basically it's something nice and slick looking to keep in your garage

I don't get the hype over it either. Any idiot can just fully mod one in singleplayer and glitch it online. Its not that hard to do...

It helps if you mod it fully before porting it over, if your intent is to sell it.

But what's not to love?

Its unique and rare, like the Dubsta 2.

Its alright. People just love it because they feel like rebels for bringing it online. The whole unique or rare argument is awful though as many people have that car as any car other than the entity and adder.

And saying its the best 4 door is laughable.

Is this The Guy?

It's beautiful, my second favorite car in the game. Highest selling non high end car in game (fully modded/upgraded) It has good speed, excellent handling, possibly the most visual mods of any car in game. You can mod it to look like a loud obnoxious racer or you can keep it plain and simple for that sleek classy look. It'll make you laugh, it'll make you cry, it'll make your problems go away. You'll love it in the rain, you'll love it in the snow, you'll love to watch it drive away but you'll hate to see it go. It's sex on wheels.

I try not to hate. It's just another car to me, but I think it makes them feel special. Almost in the same way people bought the Roosevelt because it was limited edition. Some people place value on rarity, though in a video game, I would not really consider anything rare. I place my values on other things.

I doubt that many people would care about it so much if you could buy it online.

I suppose this to some is what the Rat Loader cult following is to me.

Everyone pretty much hit the nail on the head though:

- Not exclusive to Online (a lot of value in things one isn't supposed to have)

- Above average performance and drivability (it's a good car in it's own right)

- Nice lines (a lot like what it's based off of)

- A lot of customization

- Built like a tank (able to absorb a lot of damage)

I would have a Buffalo MK 2 sitting in my garage even if it was available on its' own in Online. I imagine the vast majority of its' current owners would too.

I know I would still own the two I have in my garage if it was made available to purchase online. In fact it's the only unobtainable car that I have kept in my garage for this long through the course of the game. I still get hard when I see it in my garage.

Probably the NASCAR-ish vibe it has. Not everyone loves to drive cars that are literally from Hot Wheels' line up (e.g. Feltzer, Jester, Entity, etc)

I have had this car since the 2nd week of online. By far my favorite car in game.

I like it, but to say it's rare is a bit silly. So many players now have it.

There are plenty in both free mode and while doing jobs. If you like it and find it useful, then keep it. But don't think you're cool and unique if you drive around in one.

Yes, I've got one.

Here's the difference between the two.

As you can see, Franklin's Buffalo has a much nicer look to it.

You're doing it wrong.

Frank's Buffalo is awesome. It gets a ton of customisation options the regular Buffalo doesn't get, has an engine noise to match it's modern-muscle pedigree and it looks way better than it's counterpart. It's also the fastest Sports class vehicles that can also hold four people.

Seriously. Drive a regular Buffalo and then drive this, and tell me you prefer the normal Buffalo.

I think you struggle with the English language.

I said the car is not rare anymore. Fact.

Never suggested the method to get it is easy or "not rare" as you so eloquently put it.

Biohazard Abyss

Because it's the best-looking car in the game, and nothing else comes close.

Also it's a 4-door, and performs well as long as the driver behind the wheel doesn't suck.

It is also a tank at 100% armor.
