New to mods, please help me install ragdolls & weapon skins/sounds

Okay so I'm probably the most clueless person on the entire website, so I'm sorry if this in the wrong place and/or if I'm not supposed to post links. Anyway, I've never really modded before and I just want to play through San Andreas again with these mods:

http://www.gtagarage.com/mods/show.php?id=25087

http://www.mediafire.com/download/lyon23nzy5p41bf/Weapons+I+use+%2B+weapon.dat+Dec28.rar

I've been having an absolute nightmare trying to get this stuff to work. I have not been able to find anything at all on installing ragdolls, and none of the downloads come with a readme. As for the weapons, it's telling me to replace files in gta3.img which I managed to open with img tool but I had to replace each individual sound one by one (there were far too many) without being able to type to find the file in . I'm wondering if there's a quick way to just drag and replace all the files into gta3.img like I can with normal folders.

So if someone could just guide me through this I would really appreciate it, thanks.

Just install mods using Mod Loader.

No need for any of that IMG crap or replacing files any more.. :p

EDIT: Although Ragdoll won't work with Mod Loader because of the way Ryosuke set it up, so just install an ASI Loader (google "Silent's ASI Loader") and then drag and drop the files for the ragdoll mod to the game directory.

Oh sorry yeh I forgot to mention that I tried some of those mod installers but it wasn't allowing me to do anything because the mods didn't come with a script or something. Even if they did, I'd only know how to install vehicles and weapons

It's not a mod installer its a mod loader. Just drag and drop the files within a folder into the Mod Loader folder and it'll work.

I extracted both dll's from the asi loader into the game directory (and replaced) and then extracted the modloader folder and modloader.asi but the asi still won't open

Well, ASI mods aren't meant to be open, they're DLLs injected into the game by the ASI Loader when you open gta_sa.exe

What you have there is a plugin, modloader.asi, that is able to inject mods you put on the modloader folder into the game without replacing anything.

So for that weapon mod, to install you just need to put into in a folder inside modloader folder. For example: modloader/dat weapon/mod files here

ahhh now it makes sense. I thought I had to install the modloader by opening up a file. Sorry I've just never messed with this kinda stuff before.

so should I make a folder for each weapon AND a separate one for each weapon sound?

Just to be clear, do I extract everything from the ragdoll mod rar folder into the main San Andreas folder (where the game file is)

Yes

EDIT: it's not letting me extract them there (access denied)

I don't know how you still saw that cos I edited it back since I figured it out, BUT, when I tried to open the game with everything set up (probably incorrectly) I got a message saying it can't run because of some file missing (even though it still run), which I fixed by downloading directx (which was weird since I didn't get that message earlier) and a message that I still get which is "Modloader could not detect your game executable version". Needless to say, I haven't got any of the mods working yet

EDIT: I got the ragdolls working even though it makes the game super laggy. Yay.

That's your choice, do whatever you think is more organized, modloader don't care about that.

Apparently you use a executable version (gta_sa.exe) less propisse to modding, check out your inbox.
