i've got it

i figured out the big secret, as to why our characters all look the same

 

WE'RE TEST TUBE CREATIONS, ALL OF US

using DNA samples from a select 20 men and woman, the character creation screen allows us to mix and match the dna of said people, allowing us to create a new being, our online character

every one of us are clones, clones of the original test tube creation, remember your first death in online? that scene with the whoeverhisnamewas? it was just a simulation as your character was replaced with a fresh clone, right out of the oven

it explains why our characters can respawn

it also explains why the cops are able to find us no matter where we are when we commit a crime, we're all being tracked at all times, like its some sort of test

 

how bout that sentinel guy? why does he only appear after completing missions, with a sole purpose to attempt to murder us? its because we rebelled against the system, by doing missions, so the clone must be put down to be replaced with a "pure" clone of the original

 

 

 

yeah i lost my train of thought and this is starting to bore me

tldr we are all clones of our character before we first died and the cops are tracking us at all times
