Why do people blow up other players PV's? Surely they know they're gonna have to pay for it and then the players gonna get a new one?

Whether you got thousands or millions, you're still wasting your money.

What's the point?

because they are pissed and blowing up your car is still some kind of revenge

When a car full of assholes kills me 3 or 4 times in a row while I am on the street, I just don't care anymore, and out comes the grenade launcher for a quick, sure kill. it's worth it. :^:

And killing multiple people in a car is ALWAYS worth it.

Scary Éire

If you've all your money stored on a second character, you don't pay insurance

Depends on what kind of car, honestly...if it's a Chrome car, my guess is 9 times out of 10, it will get blown up at some point in your session....

Also, the only times I've done it is when some guy just griefs me to the point of being quite pissed, then I'll find a way to blow his car up.

It is also a key strategy in a long on-going battle, you destroy the vehicle and hopefully destroy the next one they call in and they could be stranded with you until the Mechanic cool-down timer resets.

After you call the insurance, there is no cool down time for requesting through the interaction menu. The only way this could actually help strand someone is in those lobbies with a terrible host where you car won't spawn. This is more of a game error than a strategy and it pisses me off when it happens just like when jets only spawn for the host and no one else.

Umm, the request personal vehicle option has been removed from that list for some time now.

And if you're killed before your PV arrives. You're screwed until the cooldown ends.

I don't get angry about it if it is truly a mistake (You can blow up a car pretty quickly with an AP pistol), but if it completely intentional, I just come to the conclusion that it is because they lack the skills to just kill you using a fire arm while driving.

I thought that was the point of the dock animation

Sometimes I'm happy they blow my car up especially when in heading to LSC. To them it's an act of an asshole but for me it means I'm getting a brand new car that I won't need to repair.

I do it because I don't care about the money. I'll just make more.

I got out of a survival with someone today, he spawned next to me, blew me and my Turismo up, I phoned MMI and he did it again, then again later on.

I literally don't care as long as they're paying for it. If they want to spend $18k on making me make a couple of phone calls (oh no!) they can go right ahead.

mmm chocolate

Cuz its grand THEFT auto.

also...

...someone killed me.

...I see a parked, obviously upgraded car complete with horrid paint job, and no one is in sight.

...sometimes I just check and see if they've bought bulletproof tires or not.

...because secretly putting a sticky bomb on the back of someones car, then following them for a bit, then blowing them and their car up is what this game is all about / too much fun.

I only find it ok to pay if the asshole gets blown up along with his/her car.

then its worth it. just my opinion

I agree with OP.

I much prefer jacking their car (if im lucky enough to catch them with their vehicle open to randoms) or better yet, prevent them from getting in their car entirely by killing them each time thet approach. They'll be forced to run away onfoot for a few blocks to call their mechanic.

Sometimes they get so pissy they blow up their own PVs lol.

Also bonus points if they happen to get a bounty on their head for jacking an npc's car if they ran away instead. Now go collect your winnings. Karma is a bitch...

Drove to my apt in a semi and parked it in front of the garage...threw a sticky on it for no reason whatsoever and walked in. When the garage opened one of my neighbours was taking a spin in his super car...I then realized how big of a doosh bag I have become....hit left on the direction pad and it cost me almost 9 grand....was worth the laugh. That guy probably hates me, but oh well.

Soran Is On

It's not about your pv it's about killing you.

Or I drag or drive the pv to a gas station and daisy chain an explosion so I'm not held liable.
