ThousandFangs
I apologize if this has been covered, I am relatively new to this forum. But, what is the best car to use for a land race, excluding the DLC vehicles?
GratuitousViolets
I like the Voltic, a lot of others I know prefer the Adder or the Comet. It's just preference and what you find easier to handle. Sometimes speed isn't necessarily the best option, it's traction, etc you look for, especially on some tracks where you skid and end up flying over the edge of a ramp. XJpostman
That's a pretty general question as there are a lot of different land races. Â I use: Â Super - Entity XF Sport - Coquette but the Elegy is probably faster. Offroad - Rebel for speed, Sandking for extreme tracks. Â I don't do much in coupe or sedans so I can't help you there. ThousandFangs
I should of said, best vehicle for land races, from the Super and sports car class
T-Roc
Super- Entity for races with a lot of turns, Adder for tracks with straightaways. Â Sports-Feltzer, I had (sold for my Turismo) exclusively for racing, while it's not much to look at it handles really well. The Carbo (abbreviated) is a beast, but due to it's power and lightweight it can be tricky on turns at high speeds, and seems to be the easiest car in the game to spin out by other racers or if the track goes off road. RDT33
Super - Entity hands down. Only time the adder will really be any better is if you are racing a long straight away with catchup and slipstream turned off. Â Sport - Elegy, also hands down. The Feltzer is a great choice if custom vehicles are turned off, but fully upgraded the Elegy will not be beaten. Â If you are good enough it shouldn't really matter what car you are driving though. ashbashbluesfan
cccarv
This is what i use: Â Super - Entity (curves) Adder (straight) Sports - Carbo (my choice) Muscle - Dominator Classic - Monroe
craftyard
Compacts: Blista Sedans: Tailgater Coupés: Exemplar Muscle: Gauntlet Off-Road: Bifta/Dune Buggy* Motorbikes: Akuma Sports: Feltzer Sports Classics: Z-Type Supercars: Adder/Entity** Utility: Caddy Planes: Mallard Helicopters: Buzzard Boats: Speeder  * If custom cars are usable, an upgraded Bifta is best. If not, Dune Buggy. The reason Dune Buggies aren't as viable in custom races is because they can't be upgraded.  ** Adder for tracks with long straight sections, Entity for tracks with more turns. ThousandFangs
I always have problems on tracks turning with the elegy, it will make me spin out of control when I try to turn at a sharp speed. Still trying to figure that one out

Still trying to figure that one out  Then trust me on my post above, the Feltzer has the best traction for sports cars. I haven't tried the new NSX (Dinka Jester) just yet, but I hope it's similar to the Feltzer, that way I can have a sports class racer that I actually will pull out of the garage on free roam which I never did with the feltzer. MookStunna
I guess that all depends on what class you are racing...that's also a subjective question because people all have their preferences of the top 2-3 cars from each class... Â My personal opinion from My experiences. Â Coupe - Felon 4 dr. or Exemplar Sedan - Schafter Motorcycle - Akuma (Bati is close but Akuma has better acceleration) Muscle - Gauntlet or Vigero Sports Classic - Monroe Sports - Jester followed by the Carbo or Coquette. I didn't like the Elegy Super - Entity. although the Turismo when I drove it...seemed real close Off-Road - Sanchez (Ballers use Sandking SWBs) Edited March 7, 2014 by MookStunna

Would the gauntlet do good?   Yes the Gauntlet is far and away the best for muscle car races, and it's a similar situation as my feltzer. I have it specifically for racing, my sweet Phoenix is my cruising car, but the gauntlet and dominator are the fastest cars of this class and can take the bumbing and grinding (giggity) of racing better without spinning out. I honestly wish they'd add more old school muscle cars and maybe switch the gauntlet and dominator to sports class.

Just behind the Entity.

Listen to this guy! Â Including the DLC vehicles the best 2 for land races are the entity and elegy due to the superior traction, unless your doing a straight line these 2 will beat everything consistently, practice with them and you will understand. Â The best vehicles by class: Â Super: Entity XF Sports: Elegy RH8 Sports Classics: Z-Type (It's stats are higher in races, in free roam the Monroe is better) Motorbikes: Bati 801/RR (Only when you frequently wheelie, wheelie's on this bike add a huge amount of speed) SUV: Vapid Radius(When upgraded it will beat he baller on anything other than straight lines, incredible traction and speed) Coupe: Exemplar Sedan: Benefactor Schafter (significantly superior to the tailgater, incredible turning) Muscle: Gauntlet (All other vehicles are to unstable) Compact: Dinka Blista Offroad: Sanchez (Hands-down the best offroad vehicle, incredible handling and excellent speed with the ability to wheelie for even more speed. hornedturtle
as you can probably tell from the varied responses there is no "best" vehicle. Unfortunately due to how much suspension affects handling it's hard to find the best car for you using stock cars, however the best option would be to test each car on a race track solo and see which you prefer.
