EA and Activision have always look to the day that will buy GTA IP from Rockstar but unfortunately that will never happen. And yeah i read that news today good find OP.

@Epic

Yeah Activision wont dare talk anymore after losing the Challenge against Rockstar, unfortunately CoD Ghost couldnt beat GTA 5's $1bn in 3 days records.

Well isn't this a bit ironic.

EA is doing its everything to make as much cash as possible by releasing those "pay2win" games and such, right?

Maybe EA and Activision should go back to making games, rather than shells that hold a series of micro-transaction opportunities. f*cking jokers.

I assume you were angry at GTAO? I mean it fits all the criterea

I think though that if...say..EA bought the GTA IP and the R* devs had to start over wth a brand new IP they'd struggle now

I hope EA goes out of business and R* Games or Take2 buy the rights for all of their games, they don't deserve any of it. That's why they are the worst company ever.

Lol'd @ when they begged to their knees to buy R* from Take Two.

Glad it didn't happen.

What he is actually saying: "No, no shareholders, don't worry keep your monies here! It's not because our games were pale in comparrison. It was because GTA V sold a billion. See it's their fault, not ours!, please stay, please".

This is quite pathetic coming from a CFO.

(God Forbid) but not really,Red Dead and Max Payne would soon be Mega-Blockbuster and Groundbreaking like this Legendary Franchise,GTA.but yeah GTA is the only franchise that holds up against CoD and that why E.A and Activision wants it,btw Sleeping Dogs was originally an Activision Franchise but it was cancelled because Activision said (quote)"They dont see it become a Blockbuster or Successful as GTA" if it wasnt for Square-Enix that game wouldnt see the light of day.

Maybe, but he has a point. I would have bought 3-4 other games over the winter and bought zero. The only games I bought were Christmas gifts for relatives and guess what that was.....

And then they go on to make 5.99 DLC's for 2 cars each in NFS. Not to mention the "Timesaver pack" for 29.99 which unlocks everything in game. f*cking typical EA.

EA are the biggest theives in the bussiness. Their Simpsons Tapped out game is a prime example of greed and insanely poor value. Shame on you EA.

Well maybe if the likes of EA and Activision actually gave the developers of their franchises a bit more than a year to create their games rather than just aiming for a quick buck, there might actually be anticipation for their new releases.

They have some fantastic talent on tap and the money to hire the best, but they squander it.

There ARE no microtransactions in GTAO. All that content? Beach Bum, Valentines Day Massacre, Business Update, High Life? All that sh*t?

It's free.

Now, I mean, you can buy in-game MONEY, of course. But, I mean, if you're the kind of person who would spend real money on video game money, then you're just a bell end anyway, and Rockstar employees have every right to laugh at you, which is what they're probably doing.

Now, take CoD and Battlefield as counterpoint. Okay. So they release new maps, maybe a new weapon or two, and the highlight of these is the co-op missions. Zombies, Special Ops, Extinction, whatever. So you get a decent amount of content per update for CoD as well. So I'm not saying that Activision shouldn't charge for CoD DLC. It's pretty damn good, let's be real about it here. But for the price they charge? f*ck that sh*t. Half price would be fair. Hell, two thirds even, and that's REALLY pushing it. But no. They charge out the ass for content that adds up to half a game's worth, so they should only charge expansion pack prices, not a full game price.

Sadly, this is Activision we're talking about here. Whoever runs that company is swimming in an Uncle Scrooge money vault as we speak. ...You know what? For the way they run that company, I actually wish they really WERE doing that right now, because this is what would REALLY happen if they tried.

Wow. What an ironic statement coming from the guy who works at a company that "suck" money out of the consoles without putting any effort into making a good game. They got the worst company award 2 years in a row.

Him and EA should be tortured really badly and be killed. f*cking animals.

Man, if that happened, Rockstar would own the exclusivity rights to Porsche cars in video games... GTA with real cars?... Nah, it'll never happen. :p
