Declaring War on the Hackers/Glitchers!

I watched someone on apartment TV yesterday driving around and someone was putting barriers in front of them as they were trying to get away from the cops. I've had people in my garage try to attack me - went in in passive, took pictures of them and reported them. If it happens again, I'll just keep reporting them, complete with pictures, time, etc.

 

People say "just switch sessions" - it shouldn't have to be like that. I know people have complaints about this game, but I suppose I have the philosophy that I didn't build the sandbox, but I have the choice to play in it or not. If you don't like it, that's fine, don't play in it. This whole cottage industry of trying to find out ways to break the game is baffling to me and kind of a bummer (not just from the standpoint of that it's game-breaking, but also sort of the "and you wonder why we can't have nice GTA things" - it's because people try to figure out how to wreck them. R* should have done a better job securing game data, but at the same time, it's remarkable to me the work that appears to be put in to finding glitches, cheats, etc.

Always remember that it's only a very small minority that tries to break the game. Well over 90% of players just want to play it - it's just that the exploiters like to be loud about their work. Maybe it's an attention thing?

On the plus side, they find the bugs so that Rockstar can patch them. This is new ground for Rockstar so they'll be learning fast.

I Actually have my own crew ready with almost 50 tanks, 30 jets, about 100 buzzards, Army of 500 with 200 of them having rocket launchers and the rest are ready to call in Merryweather Airstrike and stuff. And all that just for round one.

No I was kidding. OFC why should I team up with the people I hate. I will fight Cheaters with Rockstar any day and also with my crew!

I do agree that maybe it's an attention thing, but personally, I was thinking just do away with the cheater pool. If they get evidence that you are cheating in a "game breaking" manner (content creator tools in free roam, things of that nature), you get a warning. If you get another warning, that's it.

 

And forget Bad Sport, too. If people don't have money, they go into debt. If they do have money, you get your car back and they paid for the insurance. I never understood the butthurt when cars were destroyed if someone else is paying for insurance.

Just go to another LSC? That location is so overused anyway, props to the guy who did this, lol.

I went to that branch of LS Customs to add some custom tyres to my new cars, think it was the Jester. Anyways I come out and am on the street outside and this guy with a white suit and face-paint (or a mask) walks up to the door (off-rader without the player ID thing) and starts trying to get in! I told 'hey this is my car, you can't get in - then this blue construction barrier appears next to my car! I told him I have heard about this stuff and get the F out of there quick time :0)

 

I was interested in what would happen next, so changed cars for a Baller I was going to sell anyway so no big deal if something happened or whatever. I sell the car, come outside and this guy picks me up in another SUV and we somehow get transported to the top of the Eclipse towers apartments (AKA 'the most expensive one) and on the roof there is a ramp.

 

The guy is invisible now by the way which made things even more weird. So he drives the SUV up the ramp and we end up in a back-yard pool which also has a ramp in the middle of it, the SUV explodes, I get out - and as the guy is invisible I have no idea if he survived or not. I just said 'cool' or whatever and then went back to playing the game.

 

TL/DR: Not all glitchers/hackers are asholes, some just want to show you 'cool' stuff they can do - without killing you!

 

Now that makes a refreshing change ;0)
