Section Clutter

I don't understand why so many people continue to feel the need to make a new thread for their creations. Well in some way I supose if you see it done by a few others then I guess you might think it is the way to go. It just gets so cluttered up when they do this. There are pinned threads for sharing work and pinned/unpinned threads for most types of creations where you can get actual feedback as well.

I suggest that (especially for us regulars) that we just simply do not reply to them at all...not even to tell them that there are places to post their work.

What I would love to see is each of them get merged into the share threads as they pop up. I would use the report feature but I don't want to swamp the mods with spam.

If by chance there is a way to give a member the simple ability to merge threads I would offer my services. It is that annoying to me.

I created a topic to share all my creations so people could easily follow them and leave feedback to me (as well as requests).

What I find kind of annoying is generic topics like "new race, need feedback", the op could at least have named it with the actual race's name like."xpto race track" but I can see it also becoming annoying as the creator gets more popular.

I can see what your thinking but that is exactly what the pinned share thread is there for. If everyone makes their own thread it becomes very cluttered.

I would have to agree with Luap. I dont even look at those type of post anymore i just go straight to the approved races/dm threads. RBmaster if you want any feedback or need a review you should go to Luap's XBOX360 Approved Races. The pinned ones wont get lost in the sea of threads. Ill admit though it might take a week to get it looked at but trust me its going to be a good non biased review of your races.

Heres Luap's thread http://gtaforums.com/topic/677398-xbox-approved-custom-races/

That way this specific forum would be just those topics. There's a search mechanism on forums for some reason, I don't think restricting the user posts to some specific topics is a good idea when there's the specific forum restriction already. What's the difference between navigating a forum or a topic? There're advantages and disadvantages to both, so I think as long as creating a topic is more useful than posting in a topic, it should not be restricted. I posted on those pinned topics too, but the topic I made is more than just "publishing" my levels.

@rb master your post and the 2 below you (players showcasing own maps) have very small views and no replies so id post in the approved races thread if you want more people to take more notice

I am not sure as to how the forum leaders moderate this section of the board. However, if if there is a topic that isn't needed, please use the report system and the area leader will determine if the topic is needed or not.

As I personally see it, I imagine 90% of the topics are probably fine and if they don't receive much attention they will die off to the next page and so on. Now if people are making topics that aren't that interested and die off but are bumped by the OP this needs to be reported to us as well.
